During the prayer meeting in the schools of Haryana, the shlokas of Srimad Bhagavad Gita will be compulsorily recited. The initiative was started from Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Lab School located in Haryana School Education Board Campus, where children pronounced shlokas of Geeta on Wednesday morning.

Dr. (Prof.) Pawan Kumar, Chairman of Haryana School Education Board, has issued a letter to all the school heads and informed about this instruction. He said that the verses of the Gita will give a boost to the all -round development and spiritual consciousness of children.

Inspiration to recite regular Gita
On this occasion, Geeta Manishi Swami Gyanananda gave blessings to the children through online medium. At the same time, Dr. Vinod Anchal, District President of the Health Project of Sri Krishna Kripa Committee, inspired the children to recite regular Gita. He informed that efforts are being made by the committee to promote Geeta text in schools across the state.

‘Gita essence of life’
Board President Dr. Pawan Kumar said, Gita is the essence of our life. It is not just a religious book, but the art of living the art of living. This will develop moral and spiritual values in children.

Parents looking at the rites
The discussion between students, teachers and parents has intensified regarding this new initiative. Some people are looking at it with rituals, and some in the form of inclusion of religious elements in education.
