Controversy started due to Trump’s statement

The controversy began when Donald Trump claimed in an interview with Italian TV channel La7 that Georgia Meloni was eager to get photographed with him during the recent G-7 summit in France. Trump said, “She asked me to take a photo. She wanted a photo with me. I didn’t want to take a photo, but I felt sorry for her.”
