Iran US Conflict: Russia has given a strong reaction to America’s recent military action on Iran. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that America has violated the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Tehran and Washington. They allege that the American attacks have damaged not only Iran but also the civilian targets of the Persian Gulf region, which has posed a threat to the stability of the entire region.

Russia accused America of breaking the agreement

During a joint press conference with the Foreign Minister of Chad in Moscow, Sergei Lavrov said that America’s new military action is against the spirit of the agreement, through which an attempt was made to reduce tension between the two countries. He said that military action cannot be the solution to any dispute.

‘Civilian targets also get damaged due to attacks’

Lavrov claimed that civilian infrastructure has been damaged in Iran as well as in the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries. He warned that such attacks would increase instability in the region and weaken efforts to restore peace.

Questions raised on Trump’s statement also

The Russian Foreign Minister said that it is difficult to have confidence in any future agreement with America. Citing the talks held between President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Alaska, he said that even earlier many agreements were not fully followed.

Iran also expressed protest

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has described the American attacks as a violation of the United Nations Charter. Tehran says that America has weakened efforts towards ceasefire and reducing tension. Iran alleged that transportation infrastructure, cargo ships and other civilian facilities were also targeted in the attacks.

Tension increased on Strait of Hormuz

Citing security reasons, Iran has announced to temporarily stop the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, US President Donald Trump claimed that America has control over this waterway and it has been reopened. Tension remains constant in the region between the claims of both the countries.

Trump Statement: Amidst the increasing tension between America and Iran, US President Donald Trump has made a big claim. He said that the US Army has caused so much damage to Iran in just one month that its navy has been destroyed and its air force has been completely destroyed. According to Trump, America no longer needs to depend on the Middle East.

Trump told that the US Army had started a major military operation against Iran a month ago. He said that in these four weeks, the American Army has achieved a very swift, precise and tremendous victory, the like of which was never seen before.

Iran’s military power is weak

Trump said, “Tonight, Iran’s navy has been destroyed, their air force has been destroyed and their leaders have now been killed. The command and control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being completely destroyed. Their missile and drone launching capabilities have been greatly reduced and their weapons factories and rocket launchers are being destroyed, now there are very few of them left. Never in the history of war has any enemy suffered such obvious and devastating losses.”

Mention of action on Venezuela also

Trump said, “Before discussing the current situation, I want to thank our troops who did a wonderful job of taking over Venezuela in a matter of minutes. The attack was quick, deadly and powerful, and the whole world praised it. After strengthening the military in my first term, we now have the strongest military in the world.”

Trump said that America is now completely self-reliant in the Middle East. “Now we are there to help, but we don’t need to be there. We don’t want their oil or anything, but we are there to help our allies,” he said.

Clear message against Iran
Trump said, “In this campaign that began 32 days ago, we are fully engaged to stop Iran and stop its nuclear weapons efforts. This fundamentalist regime has been shouting ‘Death to America’ for 47 years. We are going to finish this work very fast. Iran’s navy is destroyed, its air force is destroyed and we are close to achieving our strategic objectives.”

Sarcasm on Iran and nuclear deal
Trump said, “If I had not withdrawn from the Iran nuclear deal, Israel and the Middle East would not exist today. This deal would have given Iran the way to build a major nuclear weapon many years ago. We stopped it.” He said that the killing of Qassem Soleimani and ending the earlier agreement was a step that no other president would have dared to take.

Thanks to our allies in the Middle East
Trump thanked Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain. “We will ensure that they are not harmed in any way,” he said.

Concern over fuel prices and the option of US oil
Trump admitted that due to Iran’s attacks, petrol prices in America have increased by 25 percent. He said, “This is only temporary. For those countries that are not getting fuel, I suggest that they first buy American oil and then protect the Strait of Hormuz.”

Trump said, “We will attack Iran very powerfully in the next 2-3 weeks. Iran has now been badly damaged. We are on the way to quickly accomplish America’s military objectives. We will complete the mission while honoring the lives of our soldiers who sacrificed their lives.”

Iran has issued a strict warning to America amid increasing American military activities in the Middle East. A senior Iranian official has said that if any kind of attack is made on Iran, whether it is limited or extensive, then Iran will see it as a total war and it will be responded to in a very harsh manner. This statement has come at a time when an American aircraft carrier strike group and other military resources are going to reach the Middle East in the coming days.

An Iranian official, on condition of anonymity, said that Iran is watching this military gathering seriously. According to him, Iran hopes that this preparation is not being done with the intention of any real conflict, but still the country’s army is on full alert for every possible situation.

According to Reuters report, the Iranian official said in clear words that this time any attack, whether limited, surgical or by any other name, Iran will consider it as a direct war against itself. He said that Iran will give the strictest response in such a situation, so that no one has the courage to attack Iran in the future.

Trump’s warning and Iran’s reaction

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that a US armada was headed towards Iran, although he also said he hoped not to use it. Trump had warned Iran neither to harm the protesters nor to restart its nuclear program. Responding to this, the Iranian official said that if America violates Iran’s sovereignty or territorial integrity, Iran will not remain silent. However, he did not clarify what form Iran’s reaction would take.
