A German traveler who came to visit Goa has now become a topic of discussion on social media. Anyone would be shocked to hear what he endured. German traveler Alex Welder was roaming near Putnam Beach with his partner. Then he asked a rickshaw puller for a ride. The rickshaw puller asked for Rs 500 to travel a short distance. The welder found this price too high, so he booked through GoaMiles app. The app showed only Rs 300 for the same route. Whatever happened after this made the entire atmosphere tense.

Misbehavior with foreign tourist in Goa!

As soon as the cab was booked from GoaMiles, the local rickshaw drivers got angry. According to the welder, some rickshaw pullers started chasing him and his female companion. He said, “We had just called a cab through the app, but they followed us angrily. The atmosphere was a bit intimidating.” Alex told that when his taxi arrived, the driver himself told him to “hide the number plate”. The reason was that other rickshaw and taxi drivers were making videos and recording the number of GoaMiles’ vehicle.

Auto drivers started chasing!

It is clearly visible in the video that the welder is surprised and asking the driver, “What is his problem?” The driver replies, “The local people here don’t like GoaMiles.” Alex said, “Whenever we say that we are calling a taxi from GoaMiles, the locals say that it is not allowed here. But booking is done through the app, so clearly it is legal.”

Then the police also fined the tourist’s taxi!

The matter did not end here. As the welder is telling in the video, after covering some distance, the GoaMiles taxi was stopped by the police. The German traveler did not understand what was happening. The driver told that the police has issued a challan of Rs 500. Alex finally said, “I felt that if I am from outside then there is no point arguing with the police. So I paid the driver’s fine of Rs 500 myself.” He added, “Maybe someone can explain to me what is really going on here.”

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has given another big responsibility to former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. The party issued a statement saying on Friday (July 25) that Atishi has been appointed in charge of Goa.

AAP said, “Pankaj Gupta is unhealthy and because of this he is not available. For this reason, Atishi is being appointed in charge of Goa. We wish him all the best for his new responsibility. ”

On March 21, Pankaj Gupta was made in charge of Goa. Along with this, Ankush Narang, Abhaas Chandela and Deepak Singla were appointed as co -incharge.

Leader of Opposition is Atishi

Atishi is currently the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly and is targeting the BJP on the issue of water logging, bulldozer action and action of central agencies.

Atishi became the CM of Delhi in September 2024 and remained till February 2025. Earlier, Arvind continued to command many departments including education in the government led by Kejriwal.

Atishi won from Kalkaji seat in the Delhi assembly elections. He defeated BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress candidate Alka Lamba. Goa health minister controversy: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane is once again in the headlines. He suspended a senior doctor of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on charges of abuse from the patient while on duty. This step was taken by the minister after the complaint of a senior journalist who said that his mother -in -law was denied treatment in the emergency ward of the hospital. When the matter caught fire, Vishwajit Rane presented a clarification on social media.

What is the whole matter?
The incident took place in GMCH on Saturday when Minister Rane suddenly inspected the hospital. During the inspection, he saw that the number of patients in the hospital was very low, yet an elderly woman, who was advised by the doctors to be injected daily, refused to attend them.

According to the report, the elderly woman reached the hospital for treatment on a public holiday. The minister received this complaint to a senior journalist who shared this negligence with his mother -in -law. After receiving the report, Minister Rane publicly reprimanded the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rudresh Kurtikar and then ordered him to be suspended with immediate effect.

In the video, Vishwajit Rane reprimands the doctor and says, “You should learn to control your tongue. You are a doctor. I usually do not get angry, but you should treat patients properly, no matter how busy you are. After this Vishwajit Rane tells Dr. Patil to remove them from the CMO post, I can not sign for suspension on the file.”

What did Minister Rane say?
In a conversation with reporters on Saturday evening, Minister Rane said, “Yes, I intervened as a minister and admit that my accent and words could have been more fine. I am not above self -determination and criticism. I take responsibility for my language, and assure that next time I will talk better.” But he clarified that he would not apologize. He said, “I would not apologize that I showed the courage to stand for the patient who was denied treatment.”

“Doctors have reputation, but compassion is necessary”
The minister said that he respects the doctors and most of the doctors in GMCH serve with dedication, but when someone’s behavior becomes egoistic and takes apathy instead of compassion, then it becomes mandatory to take action. He said, “Doctors have a prestigious place in society. But when the ego infiltrates duty, it is my responsibility to take action.”

Questions raised on IMA and social media
After this incident, there was a fierce debate on social media and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) also objected to this public intervention of the minister. In response, Minister Rane also responded to the criticism being done in social media and media.

He said, “When there is a mistake in GMCH, the same media and the public oppose. But when corrective steps are taken, we should support efforts to improve the system, not them,”.

“I will keep fighting for every patient”
Minister Rane reiterated his role that he will continue to fight for every person who has been denied basic medical facilities in the hospital. He stressed, “I stood up for the elderly woman who was helpless and I will continue to fight for every such patient who comes to our hospital for treatment.”

GMCH role and responsibility
The Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Bambolim is a state -run hospital with more than 1,000 beds. It provides services to patients not only from Goa but also from neighboring states like Maharashtra and Karnataka.
