Gold-Silver Rate Today on May 5: Gold prices of 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat fell on Tuesday amid increase in energy prices due to rising tensions in West Asia on Monday, May 4.

The shine of silver has also faded a bit today. On one hand, crude oil has crossed $110 per barrel, due to which there is a fear of rising inflation. Amidst these fears of inflation, the chances of the US Federal Reserve cutting interest rates also seem to be decreasing. When interest rates remain high, investors consider it better to invest money in bonds or deposits giving fixed returns instead of gold and silver.

What is the price of gold today?

According to the report of GoodReturns, today the price of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 440 as compared to yesterday’s Rs 1,49,620 per 10 grams. With this, today its price is Rs 1,49,180 per 10 grams. Similarly, the price of 22 carat gold has decreased by Rs 400 per 10 grams and today it is Rs 1,36,750. Today the price of 18 carat gold has also fallen by Rs 330 per 10 grams. Currently its price is Rs 1,11,890 per 10 grams.

Today the price of silver in India is Rs 255 per gram and Rs 2,55,000 per kilogram. There has been a decline of Rs 10 and Rs 10,000 respectively as compared to yesterday. Today the price of silver in all big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru is Rs 2,55,000 per kg. Whereas in some South Indian cities like Chennai, Keralam and Hyderabad today its price is Rs 2,65,000 per kg.
