What do WGC figures say?
According to WGC data, investment demand in the March quarter has seen an increase of 52% compared to last year. Now this demand has reached 82 metric tons. In contrast, the demand for jewelery declined by 19.5% and stood at 66 tonnes. Despite this difference, total gold consumption in India has increased by 10.2% to 151 metric tonnes. This shows that people are now buying gold only for investment.
