The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is receiving the threat of bombing the Golden Temple repeatedly. After receiving such threatening e-mail, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has appealed to the people to beware of rumors. CM Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with senior police officers including Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav in view of the threatening email received by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

BJP MP made these allegations against Congress

The BJP MP alleged that at the time of attack on the Golden Temple in 1984 and the death of innocent devotees, the Congress deliberately made Giani Zail Singh the President. He alleged that the sentiments of the Sikh community were ignored at that time.
