Google gave exit option to employees

According to a report by Business Insider, Google’s Chief Business Officer Philip Schindler has shared this information through email to the employees. The email said that employees of some teams working under the company’s Global Business Organization (GBO) can opt to exit with a severance package.

These potential exits will particularly impact GBO roles in the United States. Which includes employees working in solution team, sales, corporate development and other related departments. However, employees associated with large customer sales teams in the US have not been included in this program.

Philip Schindler praised the employees’ achievements in 2025 and said that thanks to these efforts the company is starting the year in a strong position. However, he also clarified that the environment is changing very rapidly. Its speed is very fast.

Therefore, the company is giving voluntary exit packet to those employees who are not able to fit themselves in this pace. Also, such employees who are looking for new opportunities for themselves outside Google. Earlier in 2025, CEO Sundar Pichai had also offered voluntary exit packages to employees.
