On 17 December 2025, there was a big uproar late at night in Adiala Jail located in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Punjab Police showered chemically mixed water from water cannon on the sisters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and supporters of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). This action was taken in cold weather, due to which the protesters got completely drenched.

Imran Khan’s sisters and supporters gathered

This demonstration outside Adiala jail was peaceful. Imran Khan’s sisters – Aalima Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan Niazi had gathered outside the jail along with PTI leaders and workers. His demand was to arrange a meeting with Imran Khan. Imran has been kept in Adiala jail and many serious cases are pending against him.

The protesters tried to march towards the jail, but were stopped by the police. Late at night the police dispersed everyone using water cannon. PTI has asked under which law this action was taken. The party said that such atrocities on peaceful demonstrations will not be tolerated.

Police violating High Court order

Islamabad High Court had ordered in March 2025 that Imran Khan should be allowed to meet his family twice a week i.e. on Tuesday and Thursday. But PTI says that this order is not being followed properly. The protesters were demanding compliance with this order.

PTI has strongly condemned this action of the police. The party alleges that the police sprayed chemical or poisonous water on women, elderly people and common people. Some workers were also beaten up and many were detained. PTI said that the government and the army are setting a new example of repression.

Pakistan Police snatched the independence of judiciary

Imran Khan’s sister Aalima Khan said that the independence of the judiciary has been taken away. Unemployment is increasing in the country and the security situation is worsening. He mentioned his sister Uzma’s brief meeting with Imran on December 2. Uzma told that Imran was very upset and angry. He and his wife Bushra Bibi are being subjected to mental stress in a small room.

This incident is further increasing the tension in Pakistan’s politics. PTI says that the government wants to keep Imran Khan isolated, but the public’s support is with him.

It has been more than two years since former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was jailed. He has been behind the bars for about 845 days. The family of former Prime Minister Imran Khan is not being allowed to meet him, nor is any PTI leader allowed to meet him. Meanwhile, late night drama was seen outside Pakistan’s Adiala Jail, while on the other hand, a post by Imran Khan’s son has created a stir in the matter. As soon as the message of Imran’s son Qasim Khan appeared on social media, uneasiness spread in many parts of the country.

Qasim Khan, who lives in Britain, wrote on Twitter that Imran Khan has been kept in such a place for the last six weeks where neither contact with anyone is allowed nor any information is being given to the family. He wrote that he had no proof of his father being alive. There was a storm in political circles after this statement. Qasim and his brothers generally stay away from politics, but this time the circumstances forced them to come out openly.

Efforts are being made to hide Imran

Qasim says that this situation is not a part of security but a well-thought-out plan, in which his father has been completely isolated. They allege that despite court orders several times, the sisters were not allowed inside the jail. The lawyers were also not allowed to meet, which increased the mystery over the whole matter.

Imran Khan’s security is Pakistan’s responsibility

Qasim has appealed to the United Nations, international human rights organizations and democratic governments of the world to put pressure on Pakistan so that the true status of Imran Khan is known. He says that if any untoward incident happens to Imran Khan, the responsibility for it will be directly on the Pakistan government.

Drama of Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

Found watching a high voltage drama at midnight outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The newly appointed Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Sohail Afridi, has been sitting on a dharna outside Adiala Jail since yesterday evening to meet Imran Khan. According to Sohail Afridi, he is sitting on the dharna so that the international media can see how in Pakistan, a Chief Minister is not being allowed to meet Imran Khan by flouting the orders of the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court and the High Court.

Cleanliness of government and jail administration

The government’s stand is completely opposite. The jail administration announced that Imran Khan was not being given any kind of trouble. According to him, Imran is getting those facilities in jail, which are not possible for any ordinary prisoner. Pakistan’s Defense Minister even said that Imran has been given special food, gym facilities and comfortable arrangements.

PTI pressure
After a long tension, the jail administration assured that Imran Khan’s sister Alima Khan and other family members would be allowed to meet. After this the protests calmed down a bit and everyone’s eyes were now focused on this meeting.

Even after being defeated by India in Operation Sindoor, Pakistan promoted its Army Chief Asim Munir to Field Marshal. In the last few months, Field Marshal Asim Munir has become the most influential person of Pakistan. Now the Pakistan government is going to amend the constitution, under which Munir will be given more power.

What is the stance of Bilawal’s party on constitutional amendment?

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has been busy praising Asim Manir from different platforms for the last few days. The most important thing is that the information about the 27th constitutional amendment going to happen in Pakistan was not posted by Shahbaz Sharif but by Bilawal Bhutto on X. He revealed that Shehbaz Sharif has approached his party for support on the constitutional amendment.

Asim Munir’s power will be increased

In this amendment made by the Government of Pakistan, apart from the provision related to transfer of constitutional courts and judges, there is mention of changes in Article 243. Article 243 deals with the command and control of the Pakistani armed forces. Although Shehbaz Sharif has maintained secrecy regarding this decision, the proposal to amend Article 243 is being seen as increasing the status and power of Asim Munir.

Asim Munir is going to retire this month

At present the post of Field Marshal has no legal status in the Constitution of Pakistan. Officially Munir is going to retire on 28 November 2025. Munir’s tenure of service can be extended after the amendment in the Constitution. Pakistan’s Minister of State for Law, Akil Malik told Geo News that this is the first time since the implementation of the 1973 Constitution that an officer has been promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. He said that this needs to be considered in the constitutional system.

Former Pakistani MP raised questions

Former Pakistani MP Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said that the purpose of the 27th amendment is to make changes in Article 243. Posting on Twitter, he said, ‘The main objective of the 27th Amendment is to make changes in Article 243, which deals with the control and command of the armed forces as well as the appointment of service chiefs. Everything else is just fanfare.

Former US Ambassador Khalilzad also targeted the Pakistan government and said, ‘Thinking is being done to give civilian rights to the armed forces by amending Article 243 of the Constitution. Is there a proposal to make the Army Chief the Commander-in-Chief? Will this end civilian control over the armed forces? Many types of rumors are spreading.

The agreement has been reached on the basis of the 38 point charter introduced by Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKJAAC).

The protests that started after the talks broke after the talks between the officials and the committee on September 29 took a violent form, which so far killed at least 10 people (including three policemen) and hundreds of people were injured.

How the protest movement started

The government was given a 38 -point charter by JKJAAC. It was warned that if these demands are not accepted, then the general public will come out on the streets. When the talks failed, the protests took violent form and heavy disturbance spread in the area. During this time public transport came to a standstill, daily life was interrupted and the situation worsened due to communication blackout.

Shahbaz Sharif sent a high level team

To bring the situation under control, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday sent a high -level delegation to Muzaffarabad. This team was led by former Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf. This team kept meeting till late night for two consecutive days. The talks ended at midnight on Friday night and the agreement was announced.

Agreement between Pakistan government and protesters

Pakistan’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said on the social media platform x, ‘The negotiators have signed the final agreement with the action committee. The protesters are returning to their homes. All roads have been opened. This is the victory of peace. Chaudhary also shared a copy of the agreement, including 25 point points. These include compensation to those killed in violence, investigations in violence cases in the sections of terrorism, and many development announcements.

Major points of agreement

Education Reform: Two new intermediate and secondary education boards will be set up for Muzaffarabad and Tail Divisions.

health services: The local government will issue health cards within 15 days, which will provide free treatment to the patients. In every district, MRI and CT scan machines will be installed in a phased manner.

power system: The central government will provide 10 billion Pakistani rupees (PKR 10 billion) to improve the power system in POK.

Administrative Reforms: The size of the POK cabinet will be reduced to 20 ministers and advisors. The number of administrative secretaries will also be kept at a maximum of 20. Some departments will be merged so that the governance system can be simplified.

Pakistani journalist and TV anchor Jasmin Manzoor has made serious allegations of domestic violence publicly through social media. On Wednesday (July 16, 2025), he has exposed the matter by sharing pictures of his injuries as evidence of domestic violence on social media platforms.

Manzoor shared a series of several posts on X on Wednesday (July 16) in the morning. In his social media post, the Pakistani journalist accused her ex -husband of physically harassed. Apart from this, he has described this as the most personal and painful accident in his life.

Jasmin Manzoor has shared many pictures on social media. In one of these pictures, there is a lot of wounds around his right eye and swelling along with a scorch mark. Sharing this picture, Jasmin wrote, “This is me. Yes. This is my story. A violent person ruined my life. I leave my justice to my Allah.”

Share his suffering on social media

At the same time, in another post, Jasmin also described his emotional discomfort of domestic violence and pain of betrayal. He said, “This can happen to anyone. No one is safe, not even in the boundary wall of your own house, because the most dangerous people are the people you trust with eyes closed.”

However, Jasmin did not directly name her ex -husband in her post, but also made it clear about whom she was talking about. He said, “This is me and this is the gift given by my ex -husband.”

I Kept Thinking for So long whether I show this with public or not but I want to show the courage to share this so we can all unite against against this kind of behavior and for the govt authorities to open their eyes

During this time, he also told how difficult it was for him to decide to make this terrible experience public. He said, “I was broken inside, I could not understand whether to speak or remain silent about it. But now I could not remain silent. I kept thinking for a very long time whether I should make it public or not. But now I want to show this courage, so that we all can unite against such atrocities and it would open the eyes of the government and administration.”

The politics of Pakistan is taking a new turn these days. Both the sons of the country’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, Suleman and Kasim may soon come to Pakistan. As soon as this news comes, the streaks of tension between the power and the opposition have become deeper. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will start a nationwide movement from August 5, which has been named ‘Imran Khan Free Movement’. The special thing is that Imran Khan’s sons can also participate in this protest, who are considered to be scheduled to come to Pakistan after years.

Pakistani government’s stance strict

The ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has given a clear warning that if Imran’s sons are involved in any illegal or violent protests, they will be arrested. Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said in sharp words, “When Imran Khan was attacked, why did his sons not come to Pakistan? Now why is he suddenly reminding him of his father? PTI is using children as political pawns.”

Jemima’s retaliation- ‘Not politics, this is a personal revenge’

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s ex -wife Jemima Goldsmith has made serious allegations against the government on social media. He said, “My children are not allowed to talk to their father. They have been in jail alone for two years. Now it is being said that if they come to Pakistan, they will be arrested. It is not politics, not a personal revenge,” he is not a personal revenge. ” Jemima also claimed that the government of Pakistan is preventing her sons from meeting her father.

PTI’s charge, Imran Khan kept in solitude

Imran Khan is currently lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail and according to reports he has been kept in solitude. PTI says that they are not being allowed to meet the family, even talk on the phone.

Imran’s sister Alima Khan said a few days ago that her nephews Suleman and Kasim would come to Pakistan to participate in the protest starting on August 5.

Will Imran’s son become the next political target?

The Prime Minister’s advisor Rana Sanaullah also said, “If Khan’s sons are found breaking the law, the government will not hesitate to take action against him.” The situation is indicating that after the arrest of Imran Khan, the movement which was cooled, can now catch fast once again.

Pakistan Army Drone Attack: After the ceasefire with India, the Pakistani Army has started attacking drone in the residential areas of Pakistan itself. Recently, 4 innocent children were killed and 5 people have been injured in a drone strike of the Pakistani Army in Hormuz village of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and so far 5 people have been injured.

This drone strike was carried out by the Pakistan Army in the midnight dominated area of the midnight of North Waziristan on Monday (May 19, 2025). According to Pakistani media sources, the drone strike of the Pakistani Army was against the terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), but the blast took place in the residential area and women and children came in the grip.

Pakistani army and government are protesting

Since the death of the children in the drone strike of the Pakistani Army, there is also a protest against the army and the government in Pakistan, where the families of the deceased children demonstrated with the bodies of the children killed in the drone strike of the army outside the Mir Ali Cantonment gate and accused the common people of targeting the common people, and the students in Peshawar demanded the protesting against the Pakistan government and the army to stop the drone strikes.

What would have happened if such an attack had happened in Lahore or Gujranwala,

Pakistan’s political parties have also come out in protest on the drone strike of the army in North Waziristan, Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party MP Ali Amin Khan issued a statement saying that the lives of Pashtuns in Pakistan are cheap, so the army has committed such a drone strike.

According to Sad Ali Amin Khan, the blood of Pashtuns is cheaper for the government, shame is on such a government. He said that if a similar drone attack had been in Lahore or Gujranwala, what would have happened? After all, how long will Pashtun collateral damage be formed. Similarly, Jartaj Gul, another MP of the opposition party of Pakistan, said that when his party was in the government, the policy was clear that the Pakistani people should not die in a drone attack, but now these painful pictures are coming from the north Waziristan.

Defense Minister also kept silence on drone attack

However, the Pakistan government and the army are absolutely silent on the death of children in a drone strike in North Waziristan and are not ready to take responsibility nor have any statement from the Pakistani Army to reveal. Yesterday, when Pakistan reporters asked Pakistan Defense Minister Khwaja Asif on the children killed in the army drone attack in North Waziristan, they quietly left in their car without saying anything.

Attacking residential areas and innocent people’s old habit of Pak Army

While attacking the residential areas and innocents is an old habit of the Pakistani Army, even in the struggle with India for 4 days, the Pakistani army targeted the residential areas of India with drones and missiles, but India’s air defense system had neutralized the nefarious act of the Pakistani army. After which the Pakistan Army lied that its army is a Pak army, never targets common citizens, but after the ceasefire with India, the policy of targeting the common people of the Pakistani Army itself has come up in Pakistan, where in addition to Monday (May 19, 2025), the Pakistani Army had a drone strike in the Sargodha tehsil of North Waziristan, in which three girls had been seriously injured.

Afghanistan refugees in pakistan: The process of sending back the Afghan citizens living illegally in Pakistan is going on. More than 8 lakh people have been sent back till 20 March. The Government of Pakistan has ordered these people to be out of the Pak border before 31 March. Due to not doing so, the Government of Pakistan itself will direct them from April 1.

There are now only 10 days left in the deadline of 31 March to leave the Afghani and Afghan civilian card holders living illegally. In such a situation, the stir is clearly visible on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. According to the Government of Pakistan, 8,74,282 Afghans have been sent back till 20 March.

The Government of Pakistan had assured that no one would be abused during this process. There were also claims of food and health facilities for those returning to Afghanistan. But the ground reality is completely opposite. Pakistan somehow wants to drive out these Afghan refugees living on its land. The systems are not strong and Afghan refugees are seen leaving Pakistan, disappointed and upset.

‘Do not force refugees’
Ellen Pearson, director of Human Rights Watch in Asia, has said that Pakistani authorities should immediately stop forcing the Afghans to return home and give people a chance to seek security. Ellen Pearson has said this because the condition of human rights has been continuously deteriorating since the Taliban occupation in Afghanistan. Those returning will face hunger, unemployment and poor healthcare system.

Order was issued on 31 January
The Pakistan Home Ministry announced on 31 January 2025 that Afghans and Afghan civilian card holders living in Islamabad and Rawalpindi without official residence documents would have to leave Pakistan by 31 March or face exile thereafter. This deadline has been kept on 30 June for Afghans with registration proof card.
