There is no truth in the manifesto: Manjhi

Regarding the manifesto, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “We understand that the minds of the people of Bihar are not so raw that they have forgotten the secret of their father. He (Tejashwi Yadav) is not going to take a different step than the one on which his father had walked. Everyone understands this much. The manifesto is a blank paper. There is no truth in it. It will take a lot of time for them (Grand Alliance) to reach there. Only then can they do something.”

Journalists asked Manjhi who is the public leader? To this he replied that Karpoori is Thakur. Attacking the opposition, he said that these people are insulting Karpoori Thakur. Common people consider Karpoori Thakur as a public leader. He said that these people are insulting the extremely backward and backward society, the people of Bihar will have to understand this. In response to a question he said that broken glass never comes together. Trying to fix broken glass is impossible.

BJP leader and party’s national spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan said, “Even self-liberation has its limits. This is not a pledge, this is a life letter, a letter that is taking the life of Bihar. There is no vision, only talk of division. You are saying that you will repeal the Waqf amendment. Do you not realize your constitutional power? When did the state law start repealing the central law? This seems strange.”

‘Now you are making your father’s thoughts disappear’

The BJP leader further said that Lalu Yadav’s 2010 statement regarding Waqf is on the floor of the House that the posh property and posh building at Dakbungla intersection in Patna are being taken over in the name of Waqf. First you made your father disappear from the poster, then from the manifesto and now you are making your father’s thoughts disappear. Guru Prakash said that this is not a stunning pledge, it is a declaration of taking the life of Bihar.

On a question, Guru Prakash Paswan said that these are anti-women people. On Tejashwi Yadav’s statement of giving a government job to every household, he said, “We will give jobs to 2.6 crore families… If you give even Rs. 30,000 per month, the budget comes to Rs. 12 lakh crores. Bihar’s budget is currently Rs. 3.25 lakh crores. How will you multiply it four times? Will someone bring Apple (company)… Amazon (company)? What is your plan? Will we grow money on trees? How will we do it? I don’t understand how to do it. Just do anything without a roadmap. Tejashwi Yadav, you Have become experts in aerobatics.”

The leaders of the Grand Alliance have released their manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections. The Grand Alliance has released this manifesto in the name of ‘Tejaswi Pran’. Many issues have been addressed in this manifesto of the Grand Alliance, however, the biggest issue is that of education reform.

For education reform in Bihar, the Grand Alliance has given 29 points in its manifesto, in which there are many promises regarding education reform. In which it has been said that the ill effects of the Centre’s New Education Policy (NEP 2020) will be reviewed and initiatives will be taken towards formulating an alternative education policy for quality and equitable education. Uniform school system and quality education will be ensured. The finance-less education policy will be ended and establishment of degree colleges in every block will be ensured by taking over the affiliated degree colleges.

Along with this, women’s colleges will be established in every sub-division and a total of 100 colleges will be opened. Savitribai Phule-Fatima Sheikh Women’s University will be established in Patna. Residential schools for Dalit and EBC girl students will be provided in every district and hostel facilities for Dalit/EBC girls in all sub-division and district headquarters. On the lines of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Karpoori Thakur Residential School will be established in every sub-division. The scholarship amount for extremely backward, scheduled caste, tribal and backward class students will be increased and regularized. Besides, tablet distribution and e-library will be established.

Student credit card limit will be increased from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.

It has been said in this manifesto that a law will be made to regulate the fees and operation of private schools and coaching institutes in Bihar. The contract system will be abolished in the education sector. Student credit card limit will be increased from ₹4 lakh to ₹8 lakh, and for SC, ST, OBC, EBC and EWS students the limit will be up to ₹10 lakh. Students below the poverty line will be given loans up to Rs 25 lakh for higher education abroad. The vacant posts in all schools and colleges will be filled immediately. Teachers will be freed from non-academic work.

Concrete steps for qualitative improvement in Madrasa education

Along with the recruitment of teachers, modern infrastructure will be developed in madrassas. Along with upgrading the library, new libraries will also be established. Concrete steps will be taken for qualitative improvement in madrassa education. All poor students from class 8th to 12th will be provided free tablets. A special education city will be built to promote educational tourism and prevent migration. Strict laws will be made to stop paper leaks and examination irregularities. Effective steps will be taken to regularize the examination session.

Initiative to give Patna University the status of Central University

The Right to Education Act (RTE Act) will be implemented strongly. School Management Committee members will be educated about their duties and will be provided with work space in each school. Text books and uniform will be provided to all children from the beginning of the academic session. Initiative will be taken to grant the status of Central University to Patna University and pressure will be put on the Central Government. Students traveling outside the state for competitive examinations will be given assistance for travel expenses. Modern educational institutions, skill schools and research centers will be established in the fields of AI, robotics, data science, renewable energy and agro-tech.

Establishment of Ambedkar Library at Chayat level

Special schools equipped with modern equipment will be opened in every district for blind, deaf-mute and other disabled students. Ambedkar library and reading room will be established at the Panchayat level. The examination form fee for the candidates will be waived off and the travel to and fro the examination center will be provided free of cost. After the formation of our government, the teachings and philosophy of Sant Ravidas, Kabir Saheb and Ambedkar will be included in the school curriculum so that equality, love, knowledge, harmony and equality are established by eliminating discrimination and casteism from the society.
