Grand alliance could not do anything special
In fact, in the recently held assembly elections, RJD, which was part of the grand alliance, contested 143 seats, but had to be content with only 25 seats. At the same time, Congress candidates could win only six seats. Apart from this, Mukesh Sahni Vikassheel Insaan Party, included in the Grand Alliance, could not win even a single seat.

IP Gupta also said that Tanti community is already economically and socially backward, hence it is necessary to include it in SC category.

The results of Bihar assembly elections were shocking. NDA got direct benefit on those seats where the Grand Alliance had fought a friendly fight, which is clearly visible in the results. There are 11 such seats in Bihar, where such a scene was seen. The victory on all these seats fell in the lap of NDA candidates.

The seats on which Grand Alliance had fought friendly include Rajapakad, Beldaur, Kahalgaon, Chainpur, Sultanganj, Sikandra, Narkatiaganj, Karhagar, Vaishali, Biharsharif, Bachhwara seats. There was competition between the candidates of the Grand Alliance, but the NDA took the advantage. NDA candidates won on all the seats. • Umaid Khan of Congress and Shiv Kumar Yadav of CPI were face to face in Bihar Sharif seat. BJP’s Sunil Kumar won this seat by a margin of 29168 votes.
• In Bachhwara, Shiv Prakash Garib Das of Congress and Avadhesh Rai of CPI were contesting. BJP candidate Mehta won the election on this seat by a margin of 15841 votes.
• Congress candidate Shashwat Kedar was contesting from Narkatiaganj assembly seat and Deepak Yadav was contesting from RJD. Here BJP’s Sanjay Kumar won the election. He won this election by a margin of 26458 votes.
• Sikandra seat, which has been a safe seat. RJD’s Uday Narayan Chaudhary and Congress candidate Vinod Chaudhary were contesting on that election. Prafull Kumar Manjhi won the election on this seat by 23907 votes.
• RJD and Congress candidates were face to face on Vaishali seat. JDU’s Siddharth Patel won this seat. He won by a margin of 32590 votes. He defeated RJD’s Ajaykumar. Congress candidate Sanjeev Singh stood third.
• Mohit Paswan from Communist Party of Grand Alliance and Pratima Kumari from Congress were contesting from Rajapakad seat. JDU’s Mahendra Ram won this seat by a margin of 48,189 votes.
• On Beldaur seat, Mithilesh Kumar Nishad of Congress from Grand Alliance and Tanisha Bharti of Indian Inclusive Party were face to face. JDU’s Panna Singh Patel won the election on this seat. He won this election by 35175 votes.
• Congress’s Praveen Kumar Kushwaha and RJD’s Rajneesh Bharti were contesting in Kahalgaon. JDU’s Subhanand Mukesh won the election on this seat. He won this election by a margin of 50112 votes.
• On Sultanganj seat, election was held between Lalan Kumar of Congress and Chandan Sinha of RJD. In this, JDU MLA Lalit Narayan Mandal won the election by a margin of 31196 votes.
• Bal Govind Bind was contesting from Chainpur on VIP Party ticket of Grand Alliance and Brij Kishore Bind was contesting from RJD. JDU’s Jama Khan won the election on this seat. He won this election by a margin of 6877 votes.
• Congress candidate Santosh Kumar Mishra and CPI’s Mahendra Prasad Gupta were contesting from Karhagar seat. Vashishtha Singh won this election. He won this election by a margin of 35676 votes.

After the results of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 came out, it has become clear that this time the public has expressed huge trust in NDA. In the results, such a one-sided trend was seen in many districts, which completely changed the direction of electoral politics. There were 15 out of 38 districts in the state where the Grand Alliance could not win even a single seat and NDA candidates won every seat.

In the districts of Bihar where NDA won all the seats, the account of the Grand Alliance was not even opened. The voting pattern in these areas was so one-sided that only NDA victory was visible in every assembly constituency. Account opened in 16 districts, but very weak performance

Even where the Grand Alliance was able to win, its performance was not satisfactory. In many districts, they won only one seat, while the rest of the seats went to the NDA. In a big district like East Champaran, the Grand Alliance got only one seat while the NDA won all the remaining seats. Similar was the situation in many other districts where the Grand Alliance registered its presence but could not win the contest.

Detailed election performance of major districts

In the 2025 elections, the situation in various districts appeared clearly tilted in favor of NDA. The Grand Alliance remained completely empty handed in Bhojpur, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, Lakhisarai, Gopalganj, Supaul, Nalanda, Khagaria and Banka. In many districts, NDA won six, seven or even ten seats, making this election one of the most one-sided contests ever. In some districts, the Grand Alliance won three or four seats, but overall it failed to stop the widespread influence of the NDA. Even in big districts like Muzaffarpur, Patna, Samastipur, Saran and Gaya, NDA was in clear lead and the Grand Alliance got only limited success.

What message do we get from this election result?

This election made one thing very clear, this time the people of Bihar were seen standing firmly on one side. Such a huge mandate for the NDA shows that issues related to development, stability and management have left caste and local equations behind. The challenges facing the Grand Alliance also came to the fore with the results, of which organizational weakness and lack of strategy were the most prominent.
