Tariq Rahman, the working president of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and son of the country’s former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, returned to the country on Thursday (25 December) after 17 years. His supporters gave him a grand welcome at the airport itself. After returning to Bangladesh, Tariq Rahman spoke on phone to Chief Advisor of the Interim Government Mohammad Yunus and inquired about his health.

While talking to Yunus, BNP Working President Tariq Rehman expressed his gratitude for the arrangements made by the government for his security. Tariq appreciated the steps taken to ensure the safety of himself and his family.
