2025 has emerged as a historic and game-changing year for India’s Renewable Energy Sector. India achieved the big target of 2030 5 years ago, where more than 50% of the country’s electricity capacity is now coming from non-fossil fuels. The total power capacity has crossed 500 GW and the contribution of renewables in it is continuously increasing. The biggest force behind this growth was Solar Energy.

India’s solar capacity is expected to increase from 3 GW in 2014 to approximately 130 GW by 2025, making India the world’s third largest solar power producer. Schemes like PLI scheme, PM Surya Ghar, PM-KUSUM and Green Hydrogen Mission gave tremendous support to the sector. The renewable sector also showed strength on the investment front, where FDI, big projects and strong line pipe were seen. Names like Reliance, NTPC, Adani Green, Tata Power, Suzlon and IREDA were in discussion in the stock market. The conclusion is clear—Renewable Energy has now become not only India’s future but its present. The focus in 2026 will be on execution, profitability, storage and green hydrogen.

It was launched by Gautam Adani, chairman of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) on 26 March 2024. The motive behind this is to make people aware of long -lasting energy solutions. Entry in gallery is free. Visitors will be able to experience the use of Green Technology very closely through interactive displays here. The gallery will also give a glimpse of how to produce energy worldwide to deal with climate change and how to consume.

Information is given from curator tour

According to the report of the news agency PTI, more than 40 curator tours have been conducted in the gallery for the last one year, including all the UK organizations including Climate Change Committee, Meteorological Department, World Energy Council, Universe. In this type of tour, information about the changing round of energy is given along with the efforts of dearbonization.

Adani Green Energy Gallery has received the award

Adani Green Energy Gallery has also been awarded the Prestasius Breek Award in the Innovation category in 2024. In this gallery, a bench made of hydrogen-fired brick attracts people’s attention, which shows that low carbon brick can also be made in the coming time. In this, carbon emissions will decrease by 81-84 percent as compared to natural gas fire bricks.
