November GST Collection: India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in November 2025 stood at Rs 1.70 lakh crore, which is more than the GST collection of Rs 1.69 lakh crore in November last year. But it is less as compared to last month.

There were many big festivals in the country in October. People made huge purchases on this occasion, so the government earned a good amount from GST. GST collection had reached Rs 1.96 lakh crore in October. At the same time, as there was a decline in purchases in November, a decline in GST collection was also seen.

Gross domestic revenue declined by 2.3 percent to Rs 1,24,299 crore in November. This decline has occurred after the reduction in GST rate. If we break it down, then Central GST (CGST) collection was recorded at Rs 34,843 crore, State GST (SGST) at Rs 42,522 crore and Integrated GST (IGST) at Rs 46,934 crore.

Tax increased due to import

Revenue from import of goods increased by 10.2 percent to Rs 45,976 crore in November. With this jump, the total gross GST revenue increased to Rs 1,70,276 crore, which shows a marginal increase of 0.7 percent as compared to November 2024. Talking about refunds, domestic refund in November was Rs 8,741 crore and GST refund on exports was Rs 9,464 crore.

Including both, the total GST refund in November was Rs 18,196 crore. After adjusting the refunds, domestic GST revenue declined by 1.5 percent to Rs 1,15,558 crore. However, there was a huge jump of 11.6 percent in the net collection from exports and imports and it became Rs 36,521 crore. Overall, the total net GST revenue in April-November 2025 increased by 7.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 12.79 lakh crore.

Decline in cess collection

A huge decline was seen in compensation cess collection in November 2025. Domestic cess collection dropped significantly to Rs 4,737 crore from Rs 12,398 crore in the same month last year. Net cess revenue declined to Rs 4,006 crore, showing continued pressure on the compensatory fund.

Which state leads in GST collection?

State-wise analysis of GST collections for November 2025 shows that there has been a mixed performance across India. Kerala led the positive growth chart, where SGST increased by 7 percent. In Maharashtra too, there has been a slight increase of 3 percent in SGST, while in Bihar there has been a slight increase of 1 percent.

GST 2.0: Today is the first day of Navratri on 22 September and from today the GST reform has come into force in the country. Under the Next-Jen GST, the tax slab has been reduced from four (5 percent, 12 percent, 18 percent and 28 percent) to only two (5 percent and 18 percent). This will reduce the prices of things that are used in everyday life such as AC, freeze, baby products, milk, butter, bread, etc. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday that more money will be saved in the hands of people with GST reforms to be implemented from 22 September, which will promote domestic consumption. With this, there will be a total jump of Rs 2 lakh crore in the country’s economy.

Hence a change in GST

The Finance Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to ensure that the common man and small businessmen of the country want to make more profit with the GST reduced from the earlier four slabs to 2 slabs. The Finance Minister said that due to GST reforms, 99 percent products with 12 percent GST have now come in 5 percent slab. Similarly, 90 percent of the 28 % GST items have now come into the 18 percent slab. Many big companies in the FMCG sector have also reduced the prices of things on their own will so that the benefit of this change will reach the consumers directly.

How will there be a savings of 2 lakh crores?

Speaking on the 80th anniversary of the Tamil Nadu Food Grand Traders Association, Sitharaman said, “GST 2.0 will increase the conjunction because two-slab tax structure will reduce the price of many things, which will promote domestic consumption. Because the government will not have a tax of Rs 2 lakh crore as tax from the public, but this money will go directly to the government.”

He said, “Like when you buy the same thing again and again, suppose that soaps are being purchased in large quantities, then it will increase the manufacturer production.” If the production increases, more people will be recruited at work. When a large number of people pay tax to the government on their income, then the revenue of the government will also increase as indirect tax. If this bicycle continues, it will be good for the economy. ”

Overall, when the people of the country spend more money, the demand will increase. Production will be increased to complete this, which will give more people jobs. When there are more jobs, the scope of tax will also increase.

Nirmala sitharaman on gst cuts: The GST rate cut will be applicable in the country from September 22. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday that companies should go to consumers to reach the benefits of cutting rate rate. He also informed that the central government is working on a package to provide relief to exporters affected by American tariffs.

From farmers to common man will benefit

In an interview to the Times of India, the Finance Minister said that the aim of the GST reforms brought on the instructions of Prime Minister Modi is to ensure that the benefit of the GST rate cut reaches to the common man, farmers and small businessmen. He said that the Finance Ministry is working closely with the industry so that its benefits reach the consumers completely. He also cited several companies like government insurance companies and a major Indian auto company, who have mentioned their plans to reduce prices.

Consumption will be promoted, development will happen

The Finance Minister said, we are keeping a close watch on the prices. MPs have also asked me to do this in their respective constituencies. The ministry is also interacting with the respective areas. From September 22, my entire focus will be on it. The new rates will be applicable from 22 September on the first day of Navratri. The festive season is also starting from this day and consumers will get the direct benefit of GST rate cut on goods. Under the new reforms, GST rates will be reduced on 375 items. While only 13 items are in the category of luxury and sin goods. In such a situation, the Finance Minister hopes that the price of things will be promoted and development will be promoted. He has also spoken of maintaining stability without change in rates.

Don’t just think about revenue

During this time, the Finance Minister also mentioned the damage to the revenue from the GST reforms of some non-NDA states. He said, “It is not true that only the revenue of the states is being affected, the center is also equally a partner in it. Is it not a righteousness for me? … But when the money is going into the pocket of the people, should I only worry about my revenue? It is not possible.” In the midst of all this, the Chairman of the Central Indirect Tax and Customs (CBIC), Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal should also ensure that the companies should also ensure that the companies should also ensure that the GST Cut is also said that Reached consumers.

GST 2.0: In the meeting held on 3-4 September of the GST Council, the 5 percent and 18 percent slab has been approved by making the structure of the tax slab easier. It will be implemented from 22 September. The general public of the country will get direct benefit of this because the prices of many essential items will be reduced. If you are confused about how much savings you will get from GST 2.0, then the government has also given its solution.

After the announcement of GST reforms, the government has launched a website called ‘Savingwitgst.in’. Through this, you can compare things in the prices before and after September 22 and you can find out which items will save you.

Check this way

‘Savingwitgst.in’ website has been started by the government’s My Gov platform. It has many different types of categories such as separate categories of food and drink, snack items, electronics goods, kitchen items and different categories of lifestyle.

To see how much you will save on which items, you have to first put your favorite goods in the cart. After this, the base price in the cart, the price of the time of VAT and the Next-Jen GST price will be seen. In this way you will be able to know how much you are going to save on what. Suppose you have included milk in the cart, then the price of 60 rupees per liter of milk will be shown at Rs 63.6 with VAT and Rs 60 under Next-Jen GST.

Next-Gen GST is HERE! Wondering how much you can save?

2-Disposal Tax Slab approved

In the GST Council meeting, only two tax slabs- 5 percent and 18 percent have been approved by abolishing tax slabs of 12 percent and 28 percent. Apart from this, 40 percent tax has also been imposed on Sin Goods and Luxury items. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the country from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day this year, announced the implementation of the GST reforms of the next generation.

GST reforms will provide direct savings on everyday needs and packaged food items. Along with this, products such as ultra-high temperature (UHT) milk, pre-packed and label cheese or cheese and all Indian bread will now be taxed, while 5 percent GST will be imposed on household items like soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, tableware and bicycle.

Gst impact on real estate: The GST Council has reduced the GST rate on many construction materials, due to which the expectations of real estate are being promoted. This will make the housing sector profit. According to the report of The Economic Times, GST on construction materials is expected to reduce the project cost for developers and home buyers.

In the 56th meeting of GST Council, GST on cement was reduced from 28 percent to 18 percent. The role of cement is very important in the construction of any real estate project. In such a situation, financial pressure on housing and commercial projects is expected to decrease due to reduced GST on this.

GST has also been reduced from 12 percent to 5 percent on marble and travartine blocks, while granite blocks will also be replaced by 5 percent GST instead of 12 percent. Sand-lime bricks and stones will now be charged 5 percent tax instead of 12 percent. Let us know what is the reaction of people associated with the real estate industry:

Project delivery will be easy

Sikka Group Chairman Harvinder Singh Sikka says that this decision of the government has brought relief not only for the real estate sector, but also for the entire construction industry. Reduced GST on cement from 28 percent to 18 percent and brick-sand on basic ingredients like brick-sand, reduced GST from 12 percent to 5 percent will reduce the cost of the project and it will be easy to give timely delivery. At the time of festivals, this step will increase the trust of home buyers and bring new energy to the market. Also, due to the boom in infrastructure, employment opportunities will also increase, which will directly benefit the economy.

The entire sector will get new energy

Ansal Housing Director Kushagra Ansal said, “The entire sector will get new energy by cutting GST rates on construction materials. Due to the low cost of important materials like cement and tiles, the finance and delivery of the projects will be easier. This will provide houses available to buyers at cheap rates and developers will also help in completing the project on time. This is a step that is very beneficial for both industry and consumer. ‘

Pankaj Kumar Jain, director of the Cadblue Group, says, “Every person is basic needed, in such a situation, GST on construction materials up to 28 percent increased the burden on the common man’s pocket.” Now the government’s decision to improve it is welcome. This will benefit the sector. ”

Affordable housing will get a boost

Vikas Pundir, CMD of SKB Group said, “The reduction of tax on construction materials will reduce the construction cost of up to 3-5 percent, which will especially promote affordable housing.”

“This step will directly benefit both developers and home buyers,” says Trehan, the managing director of the Trehan Group. For developers, this input cost will reduce the cost and financial pressure of the projects, so that the projects can be completed rapidly. At the same time, houses will be available to house buyers at affordable prices because developers will be able to reach these savings to the customers. This reform will promote new demand in the real estate sector, encourage the new project launch and strengthen the confidence in the market. ”

GST rates have been given relief on goods used in everyday life, while it has also been decided to impose 40 percent GST on some selected items. It is being told that this will promote consumption in the country, will speed up the economy and will also help in reducing the impact of the tariff imposed in America. The new rates of GST will be implemented from 22 September i.e. the first day of Navratri.

The economic base of the country will be strong

According to the Times of India report, Ashok P. Hinduja, chairman of the Hinduja Group of Companies (India), says that this step will strengthen India’s economic base by promoting demand at the ground level. He said, “This is an essential step taken to promote consumption by reducing the impact of global economic challenges created by the US tariffs.” It will have a large -scale positive effect on both upstream and downstream sectors. ”

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra also said through a post on X, “Now we have joined this battle … more and faster improvement is the safest way to promote consumption and investment. These reforms will expand the economy and raise the voice of India in the world. ”

More and faster reforms are the surest way to unleash consumption and investment.
That, in turn, will expand the economy and amplife India’s voice in the world.

But let’s remember the famous exhortation of swami vivekananda:
“Arise, Awake, and… https://t.co/rdortjscw1

Many benefits of simplifying tax rates

FICCI President Harsh Vardhan Aggarwal also said that there will be many benefits to simplify tax rates. He said, “This is a perfect step taken to promote development and keep inflation under control.” Industry experts say that the essential things like dairy, medicines and household items will directly benefit.

This time is favorable for retail and consumer facing sectors. Rajneesh Kumar, head of corporate affairs in Flipkart Group, said that in the festive season, the market will increase the market and everyone will come forward in the journey of developed India. Ahmed Abdel Wahab, general manager of Mars Rigli India, welcomed the GST rate on FMCG products including chocolate, saying that this will give an opportunity to innovate the industry and support retailers across the country.

Development will get a boost

Sadaf Saeed, CEO of Muthoot Microfin, said that the policy rate will be strengthened due to the recently cut rate cut by the Reserve Bank and GST reforms. He said, “As the benefits of interest rates will be effective, we can expect that consumption will naturally increase, which will naturally increase, which will give further promotion to growth.”

Gst on salon services: Many major decisions were taken in the GST Council meeting held on Wednesday. Some necessary changes were made in the eight year old tax regime. The slab of 5 percent and 18 percent was approved by abolishing 12 percent and 28 percent tax slab. GST has been reduced due to many important things to be used in everyday life, which will make these goods cheap. This will give great relief to the general public of the country. In this sequence, your expenditure on the salon will also decrease.

Beauty treatment will now cost less

The GST Council has reduced GST from 18 percent to 5 percent on beauty and physical well being services, that too without input tax credit (ITC). These include salons, fitness centers, barber, yoga and health club, etc. That is, if you are booking a haircut, facial, massage or fitness session now, then you will have to pay the service charge much less. It is a part of GST reforms, which aim to make the services required and generally more economical.

Prices of personal care will reduce prices

Along with the salon, the government has also reduced GST on many things related to personal care and hygiene like soap, shampoo. Toilet soap bars will now have only 5 percent GST. This step has been taken for the purpose of reducing the monthly expenses of lower and middle income group families. GST has also been reduced to 5 percent on face powder and shampoo. Dental hygiene products like toothpaste, toothbrush and dental floss have also been brought into 5 percent slab. However, the mouthwash is out of this list.

It is expected that the GST cut will increase the demand for beauty products and cosmetics because due to reduced tax, people will feel economical than before. The GST Council has approved 5 percent and 18 percent tax slab by removing 12 percent and 28 percent slabs in a meeting held on 3 September. Apart from these, 40 percent tax has also been announced on Sin Goods and luxury items such as chewed tobacco products, beedi, etc.

GST on Life and Health Insurance: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced several big GST reforms under GST 2.0 on Wednesday night. During this time, the health sector has been given a big gift. It has been decided to free GST on the premium on Personal Life Insurance and Health Insurance Policy. At present, GST is charged at the rate of 18 percent on health and life insurance premiums. Now under GST reforms, there will be no GST on their premium. This new rule will come into effect from 22 September.

Insurance will be economical for common man

The Finance Minister said that this decision taken under GST 2.0 will be more economical for the common man than before and its scope will increase further across the country. Along with this, all personal ULIP plans, family floater plans and term plans will be freed from GST. Term Life, Unit Linked Insurance Plan (ULIP) and Endowment Plan all come in the category of Life Insurance Policy. Now with this new change, GST will be zero on them. Also, their reinsure will also come in the category of zero GST.

Now only base premium will have to be paid

After this exemption received under GST reforms, now customers will pay only base premium. They will not have to pay GST separately on this. Industry experts say that this can reduce the policies premium by about 15 percent, which will make them more economical and will increase their reach to more and more people in the country. Suppose if someone pays a premium of Rs 100 to buy a policyholder insurance policy, till now he had to pay Rs 118 with 18 percent GST. Whereas this will not happen now.
