Lucknow Super Giants team has once again failed on its own home ground. In the match being played at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow team was able to give the target of 164 runs to Gujarat Titans. The pitch of Ekana ground has always been in the news for its slow nature. Except for Kagiso Rabada, all the bowlers of Gujarat proved to be very lethal. Particularly famous was Krishna who single-handedly dismissed 4 Lucknow batsmen.

On the same ground, Delhi Capitals had bundled out LSG for 141 runs, Lucknow had lost that match badly. If we look at the batting of Super Giants, apart from Aiden Markram, no other batsman could even touch the figure of 20 runs. Young batsman Mukul Chaudhary and South African all-rounder George Linde definitely played their hands, but they too were out after scoring 18 runs and 16 runs respectively.

Who is responsible for bad batting?

Lucknow Super Giants had a bad start, whose batsmen could not stand against the deadly fast bowling from Gujarat Titans. The fast bowling trio of Prasidh Krishna, Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj had dismissed all four top batsmen of Lucknow within the first 50 balls of the innings. Markram scored 30 runs, while Mitchell Marsh scored only 11 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant definitely got the start, but walked out after scoring 18 runs in 11 balls.

Paan was a major reason for Lucknow’s failure by not facing fast bowling in the beginning. The middle order also failed, where Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran and Abdul Samad also could not stand in front of difficult conditions.

Famous Krishna created havoc

Especially the Lucknow batsmen were seen struggling against the famous Krishna of Gujarat Titans. He took four wickets giving only 28 runs in 4 overs. Krishna, who became the new purple cap holder, took the wickets of Aiden Markram, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran and Mukul Chaudhary.
