Till now, the picture that has been seen in most private schools of the country has been seen, it has been such that the emphasis on speaking English in the classroom, hesitating on speaking mother tongue and hesitating to speak Hindi. But now this attitude is going to change. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a big instruction to schools, in which all the affiliated schools have been asked to identify the mother tongue of their students and do as soon as possible. Through this new guideline, CBSE has made it clear that the mother tongue should not be limited only to the walls of the house, but it should also be echoed in the school walls. The board believes that the entire development of children is possible only when they get an opportunity to think and understand in that language in which their heart and mind are comfortable.

CBSE released a new guideline regarding language!

It is worth noting that at this time, English is used as the main teaching language in CBSE schools across the country, especially in primary classes. This is the reason that many young children have to face linguistic burden in the beginning. This new decision of CBSE will not only strengthen the roots of children, but will also give respect and place in the education system to the linguistic diversity of the country.

According to the new guideline of CBSE, the education of children from pre-primary to second grade in schools will now be considered as ‘basic phase’ i.e. foundational stage. This change has been brought under the recommendations of National Education Policy 2020. The language through which students will be taught in this stage should be their domestic language, mother tongue or any regional language that they already understand.

Make NCF Implementation Committee, Schools Instructions soon

CBSE has named the language of this study as ‘R1’ and has ideally said to adopt it as the mother tongue of children. This means that studies in early classes should be in a language that is connected to the heart and mind of the child, which they can feel and in which they can easily express themselves. CBSE has asked all schools in its circular to form a ‘NCF Implementation Committee’ by the end of May. This committee will map the mother tongues, language resources of the students. At the same time, schools have also been asked to complete the language mapping exercises at the earliest.

Guidelines for schools in delhi: The heat outbreak in Delhi is continuously increasing. Keeping this in mind, the Directorate of Education (Health Branch) has issued a new guideline for all government, aided and private schools. This guideline is the expansion of the previous circular issued on 27 March 2025 and its main objective is to take care of the safety and health of the students.

First of all, there will be no afternoon assembly in schools. This decision has been taken due to strong sunlight and rising temperature so that children can avoid sunlight. Apart from this, no class will be taken in open grounds or grounds now. All classes will be inside the room only.

Prohibition of external activities

All types of external activities such as sports, races or other physical activities have been stopped during heatwave. Until the weather is normal, children will participate in the activities inside only.

Schools must ensure that clean and cold drinking water is available for children. All water coolers and RO systems should be in the right condition. Along with this, fans should run properly in all classes and the ventilation of the rooms must be good.

‘Staff or guardian does not sit in strong sunlight’

Students will be given a break from time to time to drink water so that they can avoid dehydration. In addition, fire extinguishers in all corridors should be in working state. Children will be motivated to use hats, scarf or umbrella to avoid sunlight. It is important to take care of any student, staff or guardian in the strong sun or stay outside, it is important to take care of it.

If a student has a disease related to heat, then ORS and first aid facility will be available in the school itself. It will be mandatory to give information about every such case to a nearby hospital or health center. The already implemented cleanliness and safety rules will also be followed strictly. All these measures have been done keeping in mind the safety and health of the students.
