Delhi has registered its second consecutive win in Vijay Hazare Trophy. On 26 December, Delhi defeated Gujarat by 7 runs. Virat Kohli made an important contribution to Delhi’s victory by playing a half-century inning of 77 runs in this match. In this match played in Bengaluru, Delhi had scored 254 runs in the stipulated 50 overs while playing first. In reply, Gujarat team was all out for 247 runs.

This is Delhi’s second consecutive win in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. Earlier, it had defeated Andhra by 4 wickets, in which Virat Kohli played a century of 131 runs. Gujarat captain Urvil Patel scored a stormy century against the Services team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. If we count only the runs of sixes and fours of Urvil in this innings, it becomes 108. The captain’s brilliant cross gave Gujarat a big win by 8 wickets. Seeing this innings, MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings management will also be happy, because they have retained Urvil for the upcoming edition (IPL 2026).

On Wednesday, Urvil Patel played an inning of 119 runs in 37 balls against Services. Out of these, only 11 runs were scored by running while 108 runs were scored by boundaries only. In this innings, Urvil hit 10 sixes (60 runs) and 12 fours (48 runs).
