A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Mehsana district of Gujarat. A couple and their three-year-old daughter, who had set out with the dream of settling in Portugal, were kidnapped in Libya. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore in exchange for the release of the family. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of anxiety and panic among the family members.

The family is from Badalpura village of Mehsana.
According to Mehsana police, the kidnapped family is a resident of Badalpura village of the district. The victims of kidnapping have been identified as Kismatsingh Chavda, his wife Heenaben and three-year-old daughter Devanshi.

Plan was to go to Portugal
Superintendent of Police Himanshu Solanki told that Kismat Singh’s brother lives in Portugal. Through that the family was planning to settle there. For this he took the help of an agent sitting in Portugal. According to the police, the agents involved in this case are not Indians.

Ahmedabad to Dubai, then Libya
According to the information, the family had left for Dubai from Ahmedabad on 29 November. After this he was taken to Benghazi city of Libya, where he was allegedly kidnapped.

Demand for ransom of Rs 2 crore
Officials said that after the kidnapping, the miscreants contacted the relatives of the family living in Mehsana and demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore. After this the family appealed to the administration for help.

Information given to the Administration and Foreign Ministry
Mehsana District Magistrate S. Of. Prajapati told that the family members of the Chavda family had met him on Friday. After this, the entire matter has been informed to the State Government and the Ministry of External Affairs. According to sources, this matter was taken up by local MLA C.J. Chavda has also raised this before the state and central governments, so that action can be taken as soon as possible for the safe return of the family.

In Rajkot district of Gujarat, the devil who made a 6 year old innocent girl a victim of his lust was trying to escape from the police. The name of the accused is said to be Ram Singh. He attacked the policeman’s neck with a sharp weapon, due to which the policeman was badly injured. To stop the accused, the police team shot at his leg. Both the injured policeman and the rape accused are undergoing treatment in the Civil Hospital of Rajkot.

Rajkot SP Vijay Singh Gurjar has confirmed this. While giving information to news agency ANI, SP has said that the accused of raping a 6 year old girl in Kanpur village of Rajkot is in police custody. He was produced in Namdar Court, where the police sought remand for five days. The court had granted police remand till the 15th.”

The accused attacked while sitting in the car

The SP said, “According to the procedure, we had to conduct the Panchnama. For that, the police team reached the spot with the accused. After the completion of the Panchnama, when the accused was being made to sit in the vehicle, he attacked the team. He had a two-feet sharp weapon with him, with which he tried to kill the policeman.”

Head constable roared, got injured on his chest and hand.

It is being told that Dharmesh Bavaliya, head constable of the local crime branch, was carrying the accused. He was attacked on the neck. The constable defended himself with his hand, due to which he also suffered injuries. There is an injury on the chest also. The accused had also attacked other policemen with the intention of killing them. For self-defense, two policemen of the team fired one round each. Both the rounds hit both the legs of the accused.”

Later a call was made to 108. The accused and the injured policeman were given first aid at the police station. After this he was admitted to the Civil Hospital of Rajkot. Both the accused and the policeman are undergoing treatment.

Case of attack on police also registered with POCSO

SP Vijay Gurjar has informed that apart from rape and POCSO case, an FIR has also been registered against the accused for attempting to kill an on-duty policeman. Both the rape case and this new FIR will be investigated on the basis of the report.

A rod was inserted into the girl’s private part
