The truth turned out to be something else.

The viral video is said to be of the wedding of Ahana Raheja and Yash Patel in Jamnagar, Gujarat. In the clip, a foreign woman is seen in a silver fringe dress, whose styling looks like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. She is seen singing and dancing on the stage with the bride. Taylor Swift’s superhit song “Love Story” is heard playing in the background. As soon as the video surfaced, claims started on social media that Taylor Swift had given a surprise performance at this high profile wedding. Many fan accounts shared posts without verification. Some users wrote, “Has Taylor really come to India?” So some called it the biggest wedding surprise ever.

Users became suspicious after seeing the appearance and performance

However, the truth soon came to light. The woman seen in the video is not Taylor Swift but Ashley Leachin. Ashley is a social media influencer who is known as Taylor Swift’s lookalike because of her looks and style. She has gone viral many times before because of her looks. Some alert users immediately raised doubts. One user wrote, “According to reports, Taylor was in London at that time.” While another said, “She looks exactly like her but she is not Taylor.” Gradually people realized that this was the performance of a look-alike and not the presence of a real pop star.
