Every country has a special identity from food to culture. Like France’s identity is Escargots, England’s Blood Pudding, America’s Rhubarb and Asia’s Fermented Fish. These are the things which are very common in these countries, but very strange for the people of other countries. India too is no different from such things. In every state and region of India, there are some vegetables which are unique in their taste and texture and very few people know about them. But it is very common for the people of that area and state. In such a situation, let us tell you about such vegetables which, despite being local and delicious, are rarely seen in people’s plates.

thor, banana trunk

Thor is the middle part of the banana plant. It is called Bharali in Bengal and many of its dishes are made here. Thor-er Chhechki dish made from banana stem is very famous in Bengal. This dish is made by roasting it with turmeric and some simple spices. It takes some time to clean this vegetable, because there are fine fibers inside it, which have to be removed. But once prepared it tastes very tasty and crispy. At the same time, this dish is also considered very beneficial for health, because Vitamin B6 and potassium are found in abundance in it.

Jimikand, elephant foot yam

This vegetable, which is found extensively in North India, looks a bit strange in appearance, but is considered very good in taste. The skin of this vegetable is thick and rough, hence peeling it is a laborious task. Jimikand is eaten by boiling, frying or roasting. The chips made from it are considered even more delicious. This vegetable is rich in fiber, vitamin C and potassium.

Lotus Cucumber, Lotus Stem

The stalk of lotus flower i.e. lotus cucumber is as beautiful to look at as it is equally delicious to eat. When it is cut, its round latticed part looks very attractive. Lotus cucumber is mostly used in Kashmiri food, but it is also easily available in the markets of Delhi and North India. It is eaten fried as curry, vegetable or snack. After cooking, its taste is like potato.

taro, taro

Arbi is a root vegetable which looks small, but it is very nutritious. Before this, it is boiled or steamed and then roasted with spices. Many types of tasty food are also made from taro leaves. The vegetable made from taro leaves is also rich in fiber and minerals and can be cooked in many ways.

Read this also-Eat this green thing after meals, everything from bad breath to yellowness of teeth will go away.

Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj told whether fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will play in the fourth Test match starting in Manchester from Wednesday. Given the workload of Bumrah, before the series started in the team management, it was decided that this fast bowler would play only three matches in the five -match Test series.

This news is a great relief news for those Indian fans, who were saddened by the injuries of fast bowlers Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh. Due to the injured players, the Indian team had to call Anshul Kamboj as a cover.

India is 1-2 behind in the five-match series, in such a situation, he naturally went to Bumrah, which is being handled carefully and will play only in three Tests. Bumrah played the first and third Test matches and India suffered defeat in both matches. Now Team India is expected to return to the important fourth Test match.

Siraj said in a press conference on Monday, “Jassi Bhai will play, as far as I know.” He said about his fellow fast bowler, “Akashdeep has a problem in the waist, he bowled today and will now see the physio, the combination is changing, but we need to bowl in good areas. The plan is simple, bowling in good areas only.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday confirmed that all -rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was out of the remaining matches of the series due to left knee injury.

Nitish, who did not play in the first Test, who played in the second and third Tests, will return home. This all -rounder did not perform well in Birmingham, but he contributed significantly to both bat and ball in Lord’s. In his absence, the way for the return of Shardul Thakur, who played the first Test, may open.

At the same time, left -arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh was injured while bowling on the nets in a training session at Bekenham and was out of the fourth Test. The medical team of BCCI is monitoring their progress.
