How is hair transplant?

Hair transplant is a surgical process, in which the hair (follicles) of healthy hair (follicles) from a part of the head (donor area) are transplanted into bald or thin haired parts. Hair transplant mainly uses two techniques. The first is the first follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and the second follicular unit extraction (FUE). In Fut, a strip of skin is extracted from the back of the head, while in Fue, the hair is removed one by one.

How dangerous hair transplant?

According to a study published in 2025 of the Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, the rate of negative cases in hair transplant is 4.7 per cent, but in some cases it can be serious and fatal. In this study, data of 2896 patients was analyzed, which found that some patients had problems like serious infection, allergic reaction and sepsis (blood infection) after surgery. It is worth noting that two people died after a hair transplant some time ago in India.

For which people haircut dangerous?

According to the study, diabetes patients have a slow healing process, due to which the risk of infection increases after surgery. If the sugar of a patient is uncontrolled, then hair transplant can be fatal. Hair transplant can also be dangerous for people struggling with heart disease. Actually, anesthesia and tumented fluids given during transplant can cause problems like taccardia.

Some people are allergic to antibiotics and anesthesia used in surgery. This reaction can take the form of anaphylaxis (fatal allergy), which can cause problems like breathing and high blood pressure. Hair transplant can also be dangerous for people who have diseases like Active Secritic Alopecia such as lichen plano pillaris or alopecia eiata. Apart from this, people with weak immune systems may also have problems with hair transplant.
