National President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, Maulana Arshad Madani has given a big statement on the controversy related to Al-Falah University and the situation of Muslims in the country. He says that the current situation is such that it has become almost impossible for a Muslim Vice Chancellor to become a vice chancellor in any university in India and even if one does become one, his outcome will be the same as what happened to socialist leader Azam Khan – jail.

Maulana Madani was speaking at a seminar organized in Delhi, which focused on the life and legacy of Mufti Kifayatullah Dehlvi, one of the founders of Jamiat. During his address, he raised the issue of the controversy related to Al-Falah University and its owner and said that the system does not want to allow Muslims to progress.

Madani said this big thing

In his address, Maulana Madani said, “The owner of Al-Falah University is lying in jail. No one knows for how long he will remain in jail. What kind of justice system is this that someone should be kept in jail continuously when the case has not even been fully proven yet.” He further said that even after 75 years of independence, Muslims are being prevented from progressing in education, leadership and administrative structures.

Giving global examples, Madani said that Muslims are holding big responsibilities across the world, he said, “Today a Muslim Mamdani can become the Mayor of New York. Sadiq Khan can become the Mayor of London, but a Muslim cannot become the Vice Chancellor of any university in India and if he does, he will go to jail like Azam Khan.” His statement is being seen in the context of Al-Falah University, where several legal investigations and arrest cases have come to light recently.

‘Governments want Muslims not to be able to raise their heads’- Madani’s allegation

Maulana Madani said, “Since independence, the governments have been trying to weaken the Muslims. The governments want the land to be taken away from the feet of the Muslims and it has been taken away to a large extent. Today the morale of the Muslims has been shattered.” He said that the allegation of lack of leadership among Muslims is wrong. If Muslims can become mayors in big cities of the world, then why are leadership not being allowed to emerge in India?

Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi reached Chandigarh on Tuesday to meet the family of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar. After landing at the airport, he went to Kumar’s residence at around 11 am and met the family and expressed his condolences. He paid tribute to Puran Kumar.

Rahul Gandhi appealed to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Haryana to fulfill the commitment of justice made to the family. He also said that the officers whose arrest is demanded should be arrested immediately and an impartial investigation into the case should be ensured.

At the same time, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi wrote in her tweet on Twitter, “Senior IPS officer of Haryana, Shri Y Puran Kumar ji had recently committed suicide after being fed up with caste harassment. His family is searching for justice but no hearing is taking place. This entire episode is proof that even after reaching high positions under BJP rule, the people of Dalit community are not safe nor is there justice for them. Such shameful incidents are bad for the country and society. There are stigmas.”

The family demanded his arrest

The family of IPS officer Puran Kumar has demanded the arrest of the officers allegedly responsible for his suicide. Senior IAS officer Amneet P Kumar, the officer’s wife, said Kapoor and Bijarnia’s names should be registered in the FIR for abetting her husband’s suicide.

The family has made it clear that without paying attention to their demands, no consent will be given for post-mortem and cremation. This step shows their strong desire and pressure to ensure justice in this case.

South Korean woman Hyang Lee, who has been running a restaurant for 14 years at the Global Fire Mall on Golf Course Road, Gurugram, has made serious allegations against the mall management. He says that despite paying rent and maintenance fee, the mall management repeatedly cuts the electricity and water supply of their restaurant ‘MISO’.

For the last three years, the mall management and builders have been harassing me by closing the essential services illegally. If no action was taken, I will be forced to return to my country with a bitter experience.”

According to the police, the matter is mainly of civil dispute, but an attempt is being made to mediate between the two sides. On Friday, both sides met at the police station, in which it became clear that Hyang Lee has been running a restaurant in the mall for 14 years. The mall management had issued a notice of Rs 9 lakh, accusing them of damaging the building from water leakage. Lee did not give this amount, due to which electrical controversy arose.

The problem of electricity and water has been solved in the last meeting. A dispute of Rs 9 lakh will be held on Monday (August 11) in the presence of legal teams of both sides. Police say that an attempt will be made to settle the case through talks.

Shankar claimed that his wife later refused to follow the agreement and insisted on keeping the child with him. When Shankar again moved the court in this case, the matter worsened. Prasanna said that wife Divya lodged a complaint against her in Chennai about the kidnapping of the son. After this, the police officers reached his hotel late at night. He also alleged that the Singapore police had also arrested Shankar once in the sexual harassment case.
