Haryana government has taken a big step to further strengthen the health services in the state. With the aim of meeting the shortage of doctors in the state and providing better medical facilities to rural areas, the Health Department has announced to start the recruitment process for 450 posts of Group-A Medical Officer (HCMS-I). This recruitment is a great opportunity for those youth who want to serve the society along with a government job.

Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that with the appointment of new doctors, the facilities in hospitals will be further improved and access to health services will be easier in remote areas. The official notification of this recruitment has been released on December 5, which candidates can see on the website of the Health Department.

Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made on a total of 450 posts. In which there are 238 posts of General Category, 45 posts of Scheduled Caste (GSC), 45 posts of Deprived SC (DSC), 50 posts of Backward Class-A (BC-A), 27 posts of Backward Class-B (BC-B), 45 posts for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 22 posts of HSM/DESM/DFF and 18 posts of Disabled (PwBD). Are included. Only the original residents of Haryana will get the benefits of reservation.

Online application for this recruitment starts on 8th December 2025. Also, the last date of application is 7 January 2026. Apart from this, applications will be in online mode only. Candidates can apply by visiting haryanahealth.gov.in or uhsr.ac.in.

For this recruitment, applicants should have MBBS degree from a recognized university, permanent registration in NMC or any state medical council, knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit up to 10th class. Also, candidates who have MD/MS or NMC recognized PG diploma will get preference. The special thing is that the selected candidates will get a salary of Rs 56,100 every month.

Taking seriously the decline in sex ratio in Haryana, the state government has taken a big step. The State Task Force, formed for sex ratio improvement in the state, has withdrawn all the powers given under the PNDT Technology (PNDT) Act from the Chief Medical Officers (CMO) of 5 districts.

Emphasis on Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign

This decision was taken in the weekly meeting of STF chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Sudhir Rajpal. The meeting mainly discussed illegal fetal sex check and abortion, as well as strengthening the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign.

According to the state government, this year from January 1 to July 28, Haryana’s average sex ratio has reached 905, which was 899 in the same period last year. That is, there has been a slight improvement at the state level, but the situation in some districts still remains worrying.

Action on CMO of 5 districts

It was informed in the meeting that Ambala, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Palwal and Sirsa have declined in the sex ratio in these five districts. In such a situation, the legal and administrative powers received by the CMOs of these districts under the PNDT Act have been withdrawn with immediate effect.

Now the responsibility of monitoring and action of these districts has been entrusted to the officials of their neighboring districts. They will immediately take necessary steps by taking charge.

Sudhir Rajpal, president of the state work force, said that while on one hand, there has been a good improvement in the sex ratio in 15 districts, the negligence of these five districts cannot be tolerated. Therefore, this strict step has been taken by fixing the responsibility.

He also said that feticide is a crime on the basis of gender selection and it will be stopped under any circumstances. The government is completely serious about the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign and more strict steps will be taken in the coming time.
