<p style="text-align: justify;">BMI i.e. body mass index shows whether your weight is correct according to your length. The formula to remove it is- </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">BMI = weight (kilogram) / length (meter) ²</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For example, if someone weighs 70 kg and the length is 1.83 meters (6 ft) then his BMI will be-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">70 / (1.83 × 1.83) = 20.90</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If your BMI is between 18.5 to 24.9, then it is considered healthy. BMI, less than 18.5, means you are underweight and is considered to be overweight or obesity at the top of 25.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>The whole picture is not clear just from BMI</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Experts believe that BMI is an early measure, but it is not completely correct. Especially for Indian people. The reason for this is that BMI does not show belly fat, while this is considered the most dangerous.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) says that instead of seeing BMI, stomach fat and waist measurements are also necessary. If men&#8217;s waist is more than 90 cm or women&#8217;s waist is more than 80 centimeters, then it can be a sign of obesity and heart diseases.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>How much should be the right weight according to the height</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Below is a chart in which the correct weight of women and men is described as per height-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">152 cm (5 feet): women 40–50 kg, male 43–53 kg</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">160 cm (5.3 ft): women 47–57 kg, male 50–61 kg</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">165 cm (5.5 ft): women 51–62 kg, male 55–68 kg</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">170 cm (5.7 ft): women 55–67 kg, male 60–73 kg</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">175 cm (5.9 ft): women 59–72 kg, male 65–79 kg</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">180 cm (6 feet): women 63–77 kg, male 70–85 kg</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Why is it necessary to maintain the right weight</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If the weight is more according to the height, then there may be problems with diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease and joints. At the same time, weakness, lack of nutrition and immunity can be weak due to weight loss.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Therefore, it is important that people not only check their BMI but also keep in mind the fat and waist measurement. The right weight can be achieved by keeping a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep and distance from stress.
