Right Time For Exercise: In today’s time, awareness about a fit body has increased a lot among the youth. Everyone wants his body to look strong, fit and muscular. For this reason, going to the gym and exercising has now become a common habit, but it is a matter of concern that in the last few years, cases of heart attacks and sudden cardiac arrest have increased rapidly among the youth. Especially those people who go to the gym regularly or do heavy workouts, such cases are also being reported. In such a situation, let us tell you today what is the right time to exercise, and why some wrong habits or carelessness can cause heart attack.

How beneficial is exercising for the heart?

Generally exercise is considered very good for health. It helps in reducing weight, strengthening muscles and keeping the heart healthy, but if exercise is done wrongly or excessively, it can also have adverse effects on the body and heart.

Why is the risk of heart attack increasing among youth?

1. Suddenly doing very hard workout – Many people start lifting heavy weights, running fast or doing high-intensity exercises without any preparation. This causes sudden pressure on the heart, which can be dangerous.

2. Undiagnosed pre-existing heart disease – Many people do not know that they have blockage, high BP or any heart problem. In such a situation, excessive exercise can increase the risk for the heart.

3.Lack of water in the body (dehydration) –Sweating occurs during workout. If there is a deficiency of water or electrolytes, heartbeat and blood pressure can be affected.

4. Use of wrong diet and supplements – Some people take energy drinks, steroids or supplements without advice. These things can speed up the heartbeat and increase the risk.

5. Exercise in extreme heat or cold – Exercising in extremely hot or cold weather puts extra pressure on the body, which can affect the heart.

Also read – Height Increase Tips: In what ways can you increase height even after reaching age? Know these easy methods

What is the right time to exercise?

The right time for exercise depends on each person’s routine and body needs. Exercising in the morning speeds up metabolism, keeps the body active throughout the day, reduces mental stress and improves mood, although the body is a little stiff in the morning, hence warm-up is necessary. While exercising in the evening makes the body more flexible, feels better strength, reduces the risk of injury and also reduces stress, but in some people, late evening exercise can affect sleep.

Who should be more careful?

Those who already have heart problems, people with high BP or diabetes, people suffering from excessive obesity, people who have not exercised for a long time should be more careful. Also, it is wrong to start heavy workouts immediately. It is important to give time to the body. Light stretching should be done before and after exercise. Holding your breath during a workout can put pressure on the heart. If you feel dizzy, chest pain or nervousness, stop the exercise immediately.

We often assume that heart disease occurs only with increasing age. Most people think that heart attacks or heart-related problems occur only after the age of 60-70 years. But the reality is completely different from this. Today’s hectic life, wrong eating habits, stress, less sleep and lack of physical activity have silently made heart diseases reach the youth. The most dangerous thing is that heart disease increases gradually. In the beginning there is neither severe pain nor any clear warning. For this reason, people ignore it and by the time they understand, the damage has already increased considerably. Now a new scientific study has revealed another important thing regarding heart disease, which is especially worrying for men.
What does the new study say?
A large long-term study of more than 5,000 youth aged 18 to 30 in the US has shown that men develop coronary heart disease (CHD) about 10 years earlier than women. This study is known as CARDIA (Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults) and its results have been published in the Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA). According to researchers, the risk of heart disease in men and women remains almost the same between the age of 20 to 29 years, but this risk starts increasing rapidly in men around the age of 35 years. This difference persists till middle age. Surprisingly, this difference does not disappear even after taking into account factors like blood pressure, smoking and cholesterol.
Why does heart disease occur first in men?

Dr. Harshit Gupta, senior interventional cardiologist at Regency Hospital, Lucknow, says that there are many reasons behind this. For example, hormonal protection in men is less than that of women, estrogen hormone in women protects the heart for some time, smoking, alcohol, stress and irregular lifestyle are more common in men from an early age, biological differences also increase this risk, although doctors also clarify that the hormonal protection provided to women is not permanent. With increasing age, the risk of heart disease also increases rapidly in women.

The biggest cause of death in the world

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 32 percent of all deaths in the world are due to heart disease. In the year 2022, about 19.8 million people died due to heart diseases. These figures clearly show that heart disease is not a small problem.

What is the solution?

Researchers believe that prevention of heart disease should start from youth itself. It is very important to check heart health and adopt the right lifestyle at the age of 20-30 years. Balanced diet, regular exercise, distance from stress, avoidance of smoking and periodic health checkups, these keep the heart healthy for a long time.

Heart disease in youth: Earlier heart disease was considered to be the disease of the elderly. But now it is also engulfing the youth. Especially people between the ages of 20 and 30 are falling prey to cardiovascular problems. Recent research has shown that problems like poor food, stress, modern lifestyle, high blood pressure and cholesterol are responsible for this.

Danger due to smoking and alcohol consumption

Apart from this, the habit of sitting, smoking, alcohol consumption and obesity are also increasing this danger. Health experts are worried due to increasing cases of heart disease in youth. Research by USV, a major drug company, revealed that unusual cholesterol level is common among young Indians. In this research, the high level of glycated hemoglobin associated with lifestyle and diabetes was described as the major risk.

Another research found that high blood pressure problem is increasing rapidly in people between 35 and 45 years of age. Smoking, obesity, family history and alcohol consumption are the main reasons. These results suggest that problems like uncontrolled diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol are promoting heart disease in youth.

Cases of heart disease increased in people under 40 years of age

According to Dr. Upendra Narayan Singh, cardiologist at Patna Medical College, heart disease cases have increased among people under 40 years of age in recent research. In India, this problem is being seen more often at a young age and more often than developed countries. The reason for this is modern lifestyle and stress as well as poor habits.

However, the good news is that heart disease can be prevented. If the youth take the right steps in time, then they can keep their heart healthy. Regular health checkups can monitor cholesterol, blood pressure and sugar levels, which can cause problems soon. Improvement in food and drink is also necessary. Increasing the intake of oils like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and olives benefits the heart. Also, processed foods and sugar should be reduced.

What is necessary to do yoga?

Physical activity is also very important. Five days a week, a light workout of just 30 minutes can reduce the risk of heart disease significantly. Methods like yoga and meditation can be adopted to reduce stress. Adequate sleep also controls stress. Smoking and distance from alcohol are also necessary, as both of them are harmful to the heart.

The increasing level of pollution in today’s runaway and stressful life is also a threat to heart health. It is necessary to adopt awareness and healthy lifestyle to prevent this. Small changes made at the age of 20 and 30 can keep the heart healthy for a long time. Start today for your heart health.
