The increasing heat and wave across the country has made life difficult for people. Especially for children, going to school in the afternoon is becoming a challenge. Keeping this in mind, state governments have started announcing summer holidays for schools. The effect of heat is increasing rapidly in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, due to which school timings have changed and preparations for holidays have intensified.

Effect of heat and condition of schools in Lucknow
The temperature in Lucknow has been continuously increasing for the last few days. Children are facing a lot of trouble due to strong sunlight and heat wave during the day. Many schools have changed their timings and have started giving holidays early in the morning. If the same situation continues, then implementing holidays earlier can also be considered. Parents are also worried about the health of children.

When will the holidays be in Uttar Pradesh?
According to the academic calendar of Uttar Pradesh, summer vacations in the schools of the state will start from May 20, 2026. This vacation will continue till June 15 and schools will reopen from June 16. However, changes are possible depending on weather conditions.

Announcement of long holidays in Delhi
The summer holidays of schools in Delhi will start from 11th May and continue till 30th June. During this period, children will get a long vacation, while teachers may have to come to school for administrative work for a few days at the end of June.

Short duration of holidays in Rajasthan
This time there will be summer holidays in Rajasthan from 17th May to 20th June. This year the education department has reduced the duration of holidays so that studies can be completed on time.

Schedule of Bihar and Haryana
Schools will remain closed in Bihar from June 1 to June 20. In Haryana, holidays for one month have been declared from June 1 to June 30.

First holiday in Madhya Pradesh
In view of the heat in Madhya Pradesh, schools will be closed from May 1. There will be holidays till June 15, so that children can get more relief.

Separate system in Uttarakhand
The timing of holidays varies due to geographical location in Uttarakhand. Holidays are given earlier in the plains and later in the hilly areas. Schools usually remain closed from mid-May to the end of June.

Although all the states have released their calendar, but if the heat increases further then the government can change the dates of holidays. Therefore, students and parents are advised to keep an eye on the official information.
