Weather 21 March: Weather changes continue across the country. Due to the western disturbance active in North India, rain and snowfall can be seen in many areas in the next two days. This will drop the temperature and there are signs of increasing cold in some areas.

According to IMD, light rain and snowfall may occur on 21 and 22 March in the upper areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This will record a drop in temperature and in many places the temperature can go up to minus degrees Celsius. At the same time, the movement of clouds will remain in the plains states like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar. Light to moderate rain in these states can also cause thunderstorms and hailstorms. A celestial lightning has also been forecast in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Light rain is expected in Delhi-NCR

Due to the influence of western disturbance, Delhi-NCR may have light drizzle for the next two days. According to Skymet, light rain can be seen on Friday (March 21). After this, there will be a slight drop in temperature, but there is a possibility of starting heat from next week. Apart from Delhi, the same season is expected to remain in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad.

Weather will change in Uttar Pradesh

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), many districts of Uttar Pradesh have forecast rain and thunderstorms for the next two days. Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Agra, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur and other districts may rain with thunderstorms. Apart from this, there is a possibility of cloudy in Kanpur and surrounding areas. In some places, hailstorm may also occur.

Rain alert also in southern states

Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Telangana may receive light rain from 21 to 24 March. Light rain is also forecast on 22 and 23 March in some areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. This will provide relief from the increasing heat in these states.

Yellow alert issued in Bihar next two days

Yellow alert has been issued in many districts of Bihar on 21 and 22 March in view of the possibility of rain and lightning falling. Patna, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, Bhabhua and Rohtas districts are likely to blow strong winds with light rains. At the same time, hailstorm can also occur in some places. After this, the temperature will fall from 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.

There will be snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir

Due to the effect of western disturbance, snowfall and rain may occur in the height areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The temperature will remain normal in Srinagar and surrounding areas, but in some places the temperature can go below zero degrees. There is a possibility of light snowfall in the next 24 hours, which can increase the cold again.

Meteorological advice

The Meteorological Department has advised farmers and general public to remain active in view of rain, thunderstorms and hailstorms. Avoid going to open areas and take shelter in a safe place in case of lightning. The weather will continue to fluctuate for the next few days, after which the outbreak of heat may increase.
