A recent study has raised new concerns about the link between anger and heart health. Research has found that even just eight minutes of intense anger can affect the blood vessels of the body. According to the scientist, after such a short period of irritation, the ability to spread the blood vessels was reduced to almost half and this effect remained for about 40 minutes. This means that anger is not only an emotional reaction but can also become a physical threat to the heart. Let us tell you how it affects your body.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Research done in America</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Researchers from several institutions in America conducted this study on 280 healthy adults. These participants were divided into four groups. Some people were asked to recall for eight minutes an event that had made them angry, sad or anxious, while one group was asked to simply count to a neutral level. After this, scientists tested the functionality of their blood vessels, especially how well they could dilate.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What was the result?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The results were shocking. People who recalled an angry incident showed a marked decline in the ability of blood vessels to dilate. Whereas such effect was not found in the group feeling sad or anxious. This means that anger exerts pressure on the heart differently and more effectively than other negative emotions. When we are angry, stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenalin increase rapidly in the body. These hormones narrow the inner lining of the arteries, which affects blood flow and can increase blood pressure. A one-time anger does not cause permanent damage, but if it happens again and again, the blood vessels do not get enough time to normalize. In the long run, this condition can increase the risk of plaque accumulation, heart attack or stroke.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What could be the problem?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Experts believe that it is not right to take anger lightly. If a person is often irritable or gets angry over small things, then he should adopt ways to manage stress, techniques like deep breathing, regular exercise, yoga or meditation can help in keeping the heart safe. If needed, talking to a counselor or therapist can also be beneficial.</p>

<p><strong>What is Silent Salt Epidemic?</strong><br />Scientific institutions like ICMR and NIE have warned that the habit of eating salt to people in India has now become a silent salt epidemic. This means that people are eating so much salt without understanding that it is gradually causing serious and life-threatening diseases like high blood pressure, heart diseases and brain stroke.</p>

<p>In a study, it was found that most of the people of India are eating excessive salt daily. WHO says that a person should eat less than 5 grams of salt a day. But in most areas, people are eating about 9.2 grams of salt daily. At the same time, on an average, 5.6 grams of salt is being eaten daily in many villages. According to the study, it is not considered right for your health and it becomes the cause of a serious disease. </p>
<p><strong>How to rescue?</strong><br />Scientists have explained a special way to make people aware, reduce this danger and improve their habits. In this, people are being advised to use low sodium salt i.e. such salt, which is less sodium and good minerals like potassium or magnesium are more.</p>

<div style="text-align: justify;">If people use low sodium salt in daily food, then blood pressure can be reduced by 7/4 mmhg, this also improves heart health and can be very beneficial for high blood pressure patients. Apart from this, you should pay attention to the amount of salt in food to prevent diseases caused by eating too much salt, try to use low sodium salt. Also avoid eating packets and processed.</p>
