Maternal Mortality in India : In the last 20 years, there has been a decrease of 40% in cases of pregnancy, delivery or a few days later. This is a good news and its credit goes to better health services. But a new report has expressed concern that if steps are not taken on time, this improvement may stop.

The UN Agency (UNFPA) for the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), WHO and Sexual and Reproductive Health Affairs (UNFPA) has released a report on 7 April. According to this, there has been a decrease of 40 percent during pregnancy or delivery from 2000 to 2023 or in cases of differences of 42 days.
