Business On Highway: While traveling on the National Highway, you must have often thought how difficult it would be to open a petrol pump, food court or a service center here. But now it is not so, the Central Government has launched the upgraded version of the Highway Entry Portal.

Due to which highway related approvals can be obtained on a single digital platform. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has called it a big step in the direction of making the process more transparent and faster. That is, now if you want to start a business on the highway. Who will get the direct benefit?

This platform has been created for all those who need NOC or other permissions related to National Highway. Whether you are a private businessman, running a company or working on a government project. It will be possible for everyone to apply from one place.

If there is a plan to build a petrol pump, food court, way side amenity, connecting road or rest area, then now you will not have to visit different offices with files. Facility of application, document upload and tracking will be available on a single portal.

Complete process on one platform

Under the new system, online applications can be made for requirements ranging from laying of optical fiber to gas pipeline, water line or electricity connection. Earlier, for these works, paperwork had to be completed in different departments.

Now the status of the application can be seen online and there will be a provision to get the reply within the stipulated time. This will reduce delays and unnecessary running around will end. Transparency will also increase due to digital process and every step will be on record.

Convenience for everyone from small traders to big projects

Not only big companies will benefit from this initiative. Rather, small traders thinking of starting a dhaba, mini food plaza or service facility on the highway side will also be able to benefit from this. Logistics and infrastructure companies will get help in speeding up the investment process.
