Himachal police recruitment exam: The written examination of police recruitment in Himachal Pradesh is under question. A petition related to the case was heard in the court of Justice Ajay Mohan Goyal in Himachal High Court.

The court has issued notices to the Himachal government, Himachal Public Service Commission and Kangra Police. All have been asked to file answers within four weeks. In the petition, allegations of disturbances in police recruitment have been made.

Himachal Public Service Commission had conducted a written examination on June 15 for police recruitment, which was conducted at 18 centers across the state. Advocate Vinay Sharma said that the Public Service Commission had received about 1 thousand 600 complaints of copying in the examination centers. The petition has demanded the cancellation of the examination. In the court, the petitioner also cited the case of duplication in West Bengal and removing 17 thousand teachers. The petitioner questioned the recruitment process and demanded an inquiry from the CBI. Now the next hearing in this case will be four weeks later.

The Himachal Pradesh government had done this recruitment process to fill the posts of 1088 police personnel. 708 posts are for men and 380 posts are for women constables. More than one lakh youth had applied for this police recruitment, but many did not come in the ground test. Only 16000 candidates were able to be successful in the ground test, who had given the written examination on 15 June.
