JD Vance clarified

As the controversy escalated, JD Vance clarified that his wife had inspired him to rejoin Christianity. He said, “My wife has been the biggest blessing. She is not a Christian herself and has no plans to convert, but like any interfaith relationship, I want her to see things the way I do one day.” Vance also said that no matter what his wife’s religion is, he will always love and respect her.

Vance continued, ‘No matter what happens, I will continue to love her and support her and talk to her about faith, life and everything else, because she is my wife.’ He said that Usha has been the biggest blessing of his life and has encouraged him to reconnect with his religion.

JD Vance considered himself agnostic before marriage

JD Vance was baptized in 2019, several years after his marriage to Usha Vance. Before this he called himself agnostic. He told that when they met for the first time, Usha was also agnostic. Regarding his wife’s religious conversion issue, Vance said that yes, Christians have their own beliefs and those beliefs have many consequences, one of which is that we want to share them with others. We are a Christian nation.” Duncan, who is contesting the Senate elections and is associated with Donald Trump’s party Republican, he further cited the Bible, saying, “You will not agree to any other God other than me. You will not make an image of any statue or sky, earth or sea in the sea or sea.”

Tremendous opposition on social media

After this statement by Duncan, there was heavy opposition on social media. The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) filed a formal complaint with the Republican Party, calling his statement an anti -Hindu and inflammatory. The Foundation questioned whether Texas GOP would take action on its candidate, which is openly making discriminatory statements and insulting the first amendment (religious freedom) of the US Constitution.

Many social media users reminded the Republican leader that the American Constitution gives freedom to accept and follow all religions. A user Jordan Crowder wrote, “Just because you are not a Hindu, it does not mean that it is false. Vedas were written about 2000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ and there are extraordinary texts. They also show an impact on Christianity, so it is better that you respect the religion that also influenced your religion.”

America’s third tallest statue

The statue, unveiled in the year 2024, is known as ‘Statue of Union’. It was built in the concept of Shri Chiinjir Swamiji and is the third tallest statue in America. This grand statue is installed in Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple (Sugarland) in Texas.
