Pitru Paksha is considered an important time in Hindu religion. The period of 15 days of Pitru Paksha is called the festival of ancestors, in which Shraddha, Tarpan and Pind Daan are performed for the peace of the souls of the deceased ancestors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on Tuesday and hoist the saffron flag on the peak of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. This flag hoisting will mark the completion of the temple construction and is being seen as the beginning of a new chapter of cultural celebration and national unity.

Temple closed for general public till 2:30 pm on 25th November
