Hindu Temple Mandir Ritual: Devotees have deep faith in Gods and Goddesses, due to which they perform puja and also observe fasts. Actually, God looks at the feelings of the devotees and not the enjoyment. But still people definitely offer food to God as per their faith, devotion and capacity.

The tradition of offering Prasad or Bhog during worship is also important. The tradition of offering food to Gods and Goddesses during puja has been going on since ancient times. Generally laddus, batasha, pedas, dry fruits, fruits etc. are offered. But there are some temples in the country where not traditional Kheer-Puri, Halwa or Laddu-Peda, but things like pizza, sandwich, burger, pani-puri and cold drinks are offered to the Goddess.

It may sound strange to you, but devotees consider it to be a unique leela of the Goddess. There are not just one but many such temples in India, where unique types of offerings are made. For now, let us talk about Jeevika Mataji Temple in Raputana, Rajkot and Jai Durga Peetham Temple in Padappai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Jeevika Mataji Temple at Raputana, Rajkot and Jai Durga Peetham Temple at Padappai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Both these temples are considered centers of deep faith for the devotees.

These Prasad are offered to children

The temple of Jeevika Mataji in Raputana is about 65-70 years old. Devotees come here to pray for the long life of their children. The Acharya of the temple tells that, in earlier times only Shriphal (coconut) and Sakar Prasad were offered in the temple. But now these dishes are also offered to children to please them. Besides, the donated money of the temple is also spent for social works. This is the reason why people here donate themselves and also offer things like burgers, sandwiches, pizzas for the children.

Modernized temple and offerings

Talking about the Jai Durga Peetham temple located in Padappai, Chennai, here too devotees offer things like pizza, burgers, sandwiches. This temple was established by herbal oncologist K. Shri Sridhar has done it. The reason for modernizing the temple’s Prasad menu is said to be that tourists from far and wide come to the temple because of the unique Prasad. Besides, devotees can also register their date of birth here. After this, cake is also offered to him on his birthday. However, all the offerings are made with complete devotion and in a sacred kitchen and are also offered to God. Moreover, the prasad offered in the temple is certified by FSSAI.

Constant attacks on religious minorities are going on in Bangladesh. In this sequence, seven idols made before the Durgotsav were broken in a Hindu temple in Sarisabari Upazila of Jamalpur district. Local media gave this information on Sunday (September 21, 2025). The incident took place on Saturday night at the Tarayapara temple of the municipality.

This kind of attack has been reported a week before the Durga Puja festival, the biggest religious festival of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. Confirming the incident, Rashidul Hasan, in -charge of Sarisabari police station, said, ‘After receiving the information, we reached the spot. A person has been arrested on the charge of the incident.

The accused destroyed temple idols

The police officer said that the accused has been identified as 35 -year -old Habibur Rahman, a resident of Shimlapalli village. According to police and temple officials, the idols made for the upcoming Durga Puja were destroyed in the temple after the artisans left on Saturday night. He further said that the accused entered the temple and broke the heads and other parts of the idols.

According to reports, members of the temple committee found the idols damaged on Sunday morning and informed the police, who arrested Habibur after examining the CCTV footage. Bangladesh’s leading newspaper The Daily Star quoted the temple committee chairman Goes Chandra Burman as saying, “On Sunday morning, the day of Mahalaya, when we reached there, the idols were broken. We immediately called the police. The vandalist was identified through CCTV footage.

Increase in attacks on Hindu temples and minorities in Bangladesh

The incident highlights a worrying tendency, as there has been an increase in attacks on Hindu temples and minorities in Bangladesh since the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus in August 2024. Earlier this week, local media reported that miscreants broke the idols at Swaroopdah Palpara Sri Rakha Kali Temple in Mirpur Upazila in Kushuya district and stole a security camera and memory card.

According to the temple committee chairman Amresh Ghosh, the miscreants broke the heads and hands of the idols of Lord Kartik and Saraswati. Bangladesh’s chief Dainik, The Business Standard quoted Ghosh as saying, ‘There was no electricity in the area and light rain was receiving. Taking advantage of this, the idols were broken. Although the temporary tin-shade temple is protected daily, it was damaged during the power cuts.

Condemned by derogatory remarks against Hinduism

Badal Kumar Dey, former secretary of the temple committee, said, ‘For the last three years we have been preparing for Durga Puja here. This incident before Durga Puja has put us in panic. Last week, the Awami League of Bangladesh had strongly condemned the interim government home advisor Jahangir Alam Chaudhary for derogatory remarks against Hinduism, in which he described Hindu customs as ‘the gathering of alcohol and drugs’.

This objectionable remarks of him have come before the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations in the country. Bangladesh is in the grip of violence and extreme chaos since the democratically elected government -elected government -led government led by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The interim government has also faced strong criticism for sheltering radical Islamic organizations.

The border dispute between two neighboring countries of South-East Asia Thailand and Cambodia now seems to be changing into an open battle. During the bloody conflict from July 24, the Cambodian army has allegedly used BM-21 Grad Multiple Rocket Launcher of Russian origin, after which the situation has become more stressful. The Thai army has replied with a balanced but strict shelling.

So far, at least 15 people have been reported in this struggle and dozens of injuries have been reported. This tension between the two countries has been going on for years, but this time the weapon which has been used, indicates that the clash has now come out of the traditional realm.

Where did the dispute start?

The root of this struggle is associated with a 7th-century Hindu temple, on which the two countries claim their sovereignty. The temple is located in the border of Cambodia, but Thailand claims that the area around the temple is its. Although the International Court of Justice (ICJ) had recognized Cambodia’s authority over the temple, the increasing activities in the Thai army area have again provoked tension.

What is BM-21 Grad Rocket System?

The BM-21 Grad is a Soviet carpet multiple rocket launcher system (MRLs), developed in the 1960s. It is called a fighter vehicle or sown machine. This truck-based weapon can fire 40 rockets in 6 seconds and 122 mm caliber rockets can target enemy tanks, cannons and military bases simultaneously.

Once firing it takes 10 minutes to load it again. According to experts, such weapons are not usually used in border clashes, which makes it clear that Cambodia has taken an aggressive stance this time.

Will the regional danger increase?

Military experts believe that weapons like BM-21 are used only in serious war conditions. Their use can also be seen like a warning that now the struggle will not be limited to limited conflict. This can not only make the Thai-Kambodia struggle and fierce, but it can also affect the stability of the entire southeast Asia.

The temple is a sacred place, where people of Hinduism perform worship, prayer, rituals, meditation and philosophy etc. The temple is considered the center of divine residence and spiritual energy. In order to maintain purity, purity and peace in the temple, it is forbidden to take many things inside the temple.

If you talk about mobile phones, then in the digital era, mobile has become an integral part of everyone’s life. But if it is about the religious place and especially the temple, then many questions arise about purity and purity in the mind that it would be right to take the phone inside the temple. Is it not inauspicious or inappropriate to take a phone to the temple. Let us know from religious and classical point of view, it is right or wrong to take a phone to the temple.

The temple is considered to be the place of God in a religious point of view. Therefore, meditation, devotion and concentration are required here, while the use of the phone dissolves the concentration. If you keep a phone nearby, your eyes will remain on the phone again and again, so that worship or meditation will be interrupted.

Talking about the scriptures, the policy rules of scripture have been made centuries ago when you were not even more mobile. Therefore, it is not possible to find any mention about mobile in ancient scriptures. However, in some verses, such practical rules are mentioned-

“Toilet mana: sangamo bhakti: pure clothes.
Tenaiva Devpuja Kama, Dharmotayam Sanatan:॥ “

That is, mental concentration, purity and discipline is necessary in Dev worship. This makes it clear that while worshiping God, no such thing should be done or no object should be kept nearby, so that concentration and purity are dissolved.

The sound of ring tone, notification etc. in mobile can impure the religious environment. Its sound distracts the attention of not only you but the other devotees present in the temple. Therefore, many religious leaders believe that religious work is affected by mobile phones.

What is solution

It is right to take a mobile in the temple or wrong or wrong aspects from its religious and classical point of view. But it cannot be denied at all that the method of devotion is changing in modern times or in digital era. Even there is a system of online darshan and worship of God. Even though some temples are forbidden to take the phone, some temples are not prohibited. Devotees take mobiles and make their spiritual and religious journey memorable through photo-videos.

Also, nowadays there is a system of digital donation or cooperation in many temples. Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that technology has made devotion simple, accessible and comprehensive. But there are always questions on the sanctity and traditionalness of worship and traditionalness about taking mobiles in the temple. In such a situation, what is the solution, how do we maintain purity and purity during temple philosophy or worship in devotion to digital era?

Can do this work

If you take a mobile to a religious place or temple, then make sure that the mobile phone is silent or switch off.

During the temple, do not see the message or notification by removing the phone repeatedly during the temple, meditation, chanting mantra or worship.

Mobile counters are made to deposit phones in many temples, you can submit your phones there.

If some are not prohibited from taking a phone in the temple, then some phones are forbidden in the temple. In such a situation, you should follow the policies of temple administration.

If you are donating in the temple with QR code, then use mobile only for the purpose of donation or cooperation. But keep in mind that it does not affect your worship.

In which temples is mobile phone forbidden

There are many temples across the country, where there is a complete ban on carrying mobiles. Such as Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Vaishno Devi, Tirupati, Akshardham Temple of Delhi, Mahakal Temple of Ujjain, Ayodhya Ram Temple etc. Please tell that there are more than 35 thousand temples in Karnataka, where there is a ban on taking mobiles in the temple.

FAQ

Q: Is it a sin to take a mobile in the temple,

A, No, it is not a sin to carry a mobile in the temple. But this causes disturbance in worship.

Shots fired at krishna temple in usa: A famous Hindu temple in the city of Spanish fork of the northern Utah state of America has been shot several times by targeting Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple. The local police suspect that the attack may be inspired by religious hatred. The temple is located near the main road and it was attacked for several consecutive nights in the month of June.

Temple dome and bullets reached the window
Temple officials said that the attackers opened fire on the main building, dome, arches and second floor window of the worship room. The police department of Utah County has started investigating the matter. At present, it is not decided whether this attack has been carried out in a sense of hatred or not, but its possibility is not being denied.

The first incident occurred on 18 June
According to local media, the temple co-founder Y Warden heard a loud voice at the radio center near the temple on the night of 18 June. At first they felt that maybe a cracker or some children were mischief, but the next morning, bullet marks were found in the walls and windows.

Bullets fired twice in a single night
The same night, bullets were fired towards the temple again and after that there was an attack on 20 June. In the camera paintings seen by the security personnel of the temple, a train stops near the fence of the temple, someone gets down from it and shoots the temple and then the car goes fast.

So far, more than 20 bullets have been fired on the temple building. Some bullets were fired from such a distance that they reached the dome and crowded areas directly, which deepened that the attackers were to spread fear and deliberately damage the temple.

Temple administration said- deliberate attack
The co-founder warden of this temple associated with the International Krishnabhavamrit Sangh (ISKCON) said that it is not a simple sabotage, but a thoughtful attack. He said, “Somebody came here with the intention of deliberately spreading fear and harming our peaceful community.”

Such violence for the first time in 30 years
The warden also said that it has been more than three decades for the establishment of this temple and so far such violence has never happened. He said that this temple is a peaceful and cultural place and attack on it is an attack on the entire humanity.

India condemned the incident
The Consulate of India in San Francisco has strongly condemned the recent firing incident at ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple at Spanish Fork in Utah. The embassy has given full support to all the devotees and the community and appealed to the local administration to take quick action against the culprits.

Malaysia temple relacation Row: Government decisions and land disputes against Hindu temples in Malaysia have united the Hindu community there. To solve this, representatives of more than 2,300 temples have called a big meeting in Kuala Lumpur later this week. Its main objective is to formulate a strategy to remove illegal occupations on the land of temples and pressurize the government.

According to the report of South China Morning Post, recently, the 130 -year -old Shri Pathrakaliamman Temple of Kuala Lumpur has passed a proposal to remove it from the original place under the pressure of the government. Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has laid the foundation of a new mosque at this place, causing huge dissatisfaction in the Hindu community.

Historical significance of Hindu temples in Malaysia
During the British rule, Indian workers were brought to Malaya (now Malaysia), and temples were built to meet their religious needs. After Malaysia’s independence in 1957, the land of these temples was not legally recognized, which led to a land dispute situation. The government sold the land of many Hindu temples to private companies, causing threat to their existence.

Why is the temple dispute happening?
After the independence of Malaysia on 31 August 1957, the land of many Hindu temples was declared government property, causing a major crisis for the Hindu community. Religious places of majority Muslim community in Malaysia have government protection, while Hindu temples are being removed. On the other hand, radical groups say that the government should not give new land for temples. Campaigns are going on on social media anti -Hindu hatred, which is increasing tension.

What does MHS work?
Malaysia Hindu Sangam (MHS) works to protect Hindu temples and their rights in the country. MHS has invited representatives of 2300 temples to find a legal and social solution to this land dispute. MHS believes that permanent legal solution is needed for Hindu temples built on government land.

Incident of removing Shri Pathrakaliamman Temple
The crisis that has arisen on the future of Hindu temples in Malaysia is not only religious, but also a historical and legal issue. The incident of removing the 130 -year -old Sri Pathrakaliamman Temple has indicated that more than 2,300 Hindu temples in Malaysia are under threat.
