Union Home Minister Amit Shah openly responded to the questions raised about the case of the 130th Constitution Amendment Bill presented in Parliament. Amit Shah said on the bill to step down after the arrest of the Prime Minister, Chief Minister or other minister that if there is a fake case, the Supreme Court or the High Court has the right to grant bail. If bail is received, then the Chief Minister or Minister arrested will not have to leave the post. The Home Minister also responded to the opposition’s allegations during an interview to ANI on Monday (August 25).

130On the allegations of the opposition on the this Amendment Bill, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Today, the number of Chief Ministers of NDA is more in this country. The Prime Minister is also from the NDA, so this bill does not only raise questions for the opposition. It also raises questions for our Chief Ministers. It has a provision of 30 days of bail. If it is a fake type of case, the High Court and the Supreme Court does not have a blind case.”

If not getting bail, you will have to resign

He said, “The High Court and the Supreme Court have the right to grant bail in any case. If you do not get bail, then you will have to leave the post. I want to ask the people and the opposition of the country whether any CM, any PM or any minister can run their government from jail? Is this appropriate for the country’s democracy? ”

Post will not have to be left for small allegations – Amit Shah

Amit Shah said, “Where there is a provision of punishment for more than 5 years, the person will have to leave the post. Do not leave the post for any small allegation. Even today, there is a provision in the Representation of India’s Representation Act that if an elected representative is sentenced to two years or more, he will be freed from the post of Member of Parliament. He will be freed from the post of Member.
