When Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was elected President of India in 2002, Rashtrapati Bhavan was completely decorated to welcome him. In 2007, when Dr Kalam left the post of President, he still had the same two suitcases with which he had come to Rashtrapati Bhavan.
