In today’s time, everyone wants to remain healthy and fit. For this, people go to the gym, follow diet plans and also take various types of supplements. But despite this, there are many women who are suffering from a serious nutrient deficiency from within. This deficiency is of Vitamin D, which is also known as sunshine vitamin in common language.

According to health experts, Vitamin D deficiency has become a big problem in India. The surprising thing is that the level of Vitamin D is found to be less than normal in almost 90 percent of women. This is the reason why women are facing problems like bone pain, weakness, fatigue, mood swings and falling ill again and again at an early age.
Why is Vitamin D so important?

Vitamin D is very important for our body. It helps in absorbing calcium and phosphorus properly in the body, thereby keeping bones and teeth strong. Apart from this, it strengthens our immunity and helps in protecting the body from many diseases. According to studies, people who have healthy levels of Vitamin D also have less risk of diabetes, heart disease and some types of cancer. It is even more important for women, because its need increases with hormonal changes, pregnancy and aging.

Why is Vitamin D deficiency increasing in women?

Today’s modern lifestyle is the biggest reason for this deficiency. Women spend most of their time inside home or office. Don’t get time to go out in the sun. Apart from this, most women wear sunscreen or full clothes to protect themselves from the sun. Sources of Vitamin D are limited in vegetarian diet. The body needs more Vitamin D during pregnancy and breast feeding. After 40 years the density of bones gradually starts decreasing.

Due to all these reasons, Vitamin D deficiency in women is increasing rapidly. In women, bones start becoming weak after the age of 40. If the body does not get enough Vitamin D at this time, then bones start breaking quickly. This condition is called osteoporosis. Research shows that 90 percent of women are at this risk and due to this the risk of fracture is double that of men.

What are the symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency?

If there is a deficiency of Vitamin D in the body, then many of its symptoms start appearing, such as feeling tired and weak all the time, pain in bones, back and knees, muscle weakness or cramps, irritability, sadness or depression, frequent cold, cough or infection, excessive hair fall, insomnia. According to doctors, the normal level of Vitamin D in the body should be 20 to 50 ng/ml. If it is less than this, treatment is required.

How to overcome Vitamin D deficiency?

Vitamin D deficiency can be compensated with some easy measures. In which the best way is to stay in the sun for 15-20 minutes every day between 7 to 9 am. Be sure to include egg yolk, fatty fish (salmon, tuna), milk, curd and cheese, mushrooms, fortified dairy products in your diet. If symptoms are severe then get checked by a doctor. If needed, they recommend taking Vitamin D supplements.

Sweating is a normal process of the body, through which the body keeps itself cool. But when without any effort suddenly one starts sweating excessively and it starts creating discomfort in social life, then people start worrying internally whether it is a sign of some serious problem. Regarding this, experts say that many patients come to them with complaints of anxiety, panic attacks or insomnia. However, the most troubling thing for patients is excessive sweating, which starts affecting their daily life. In such a situation, let us tell you today whether excessive sweating is stress or the effect of hormones and what the experts tell the truth behind it.

What does anxiety sweat look like?

According to experts, sweating related to anxiety occurs in a special way. It usually starts not because of any physical activity but because of the fear or anticipation of that condition. Like before a meeting, during a social conversation or in a crowded place. Despite the cold weather, moisture in the palms, redness on the face or sweat reaching the clothes can be signs of this. This happens because during times of anxiety the body goes into fight or flight mode and stress hormones make the sweat glands more active.

There is no mental reason for sweating every time.

Experts also say that it is not necessary that every excessive sweating is related to mental problem. Sometimes hormonal changes can also be the reason for this. Especially in women, during perimenopause and menopause, sudden hot flashes and night sweats are seen, which may seem like anxiety. Apart from this, problems related to thyroid can also cause continuous sweating, along with symptoms like change in weight, rapid heartbeat or inability to tolerate heat can be seen.

Don’t ignore night sweating

According to experts, excessive sweating at night can be an important sign. If clothes or sheets have to be changed frequently due to sweat, then it should not be taken lightly. At the same time, if it is accompanied by weight loss, fever or feeling tired without any reason, then it can be an indication of some medical problem. Apart from this, experts also say that some medicines can also cause excessive sweating. This problem can occur as a side effect of antidepressants, anxiety medicines or some pain killers. Many patients consider it a small matter and do not tell it to the doctor, whereas it can affect the treatment.

Experts say it is important to talk about this topic

Experts say that sweating due to anxiety is not a weakness and its treatment is possible. Therapy, stress management and if necessary, medicines can provide a lot of relief from this problem. Besides, it is also important to identify the reasons like excessive caffeine consumption, lack of sleep and constant mental pressure. Experts believe that mental and physical health should not be seen separately.

Nowadays, obesity and excess weight gain have become a common problem, but after menopause this problem becomes even more serious. According to a recent study, overweight or obesity in women after menopause increases the risk of breast cancer. Actually, after menopause, the level of estrogen in the body of women decreases, in such a situation when the ovaries stop producing the hormone, the body starts producing it from fat tissue. If there is excess fat in the body then estrogen level also increases abnormally. This extra estrogen promotes the growth of breast cells which can later turn into cancer.

Risk of obesity and heart disease increases

According to a report by the World Health Organization, the risk of breast cancer increases significantly in women suffering from high BMI and heart disease. In this research, data of about 1.68 lakh women from Europe and Britain has been analyzed. When the study was started, none of them had cancer, diabetes or heart disease, but after about 11 years of follow-up, 6,793 women developed breast cancer after menopause. This research revealed that in women whose BMI was more than 25 and who were already suffering from heart-related diseases, this risk was found to be increased by 31 percent. According to this research, this risk was found to be increased by 13 percent in women who were not already suffering from heart related diseases.

How does body fat increase the risk of breast cancer?

According to the American Cancer Society, after menopause, the ovaries stop producing estrogen. In this condition, the fat tissue of the body becomes the main source of estrogen. Therefore, the more fat there is in the body, the more the level of estrogen increases. At the same time, this increased hormone activates the breast cells again and again, which leads to the growth of abnormal cells. This process can later lead to breast cancer. Obesity also increases insulin resistance. When the body is unable to use insulin properly, its level in the blood increases. At the same time, high insulin levels have also been linked to many types of cancer like breast cancer.

How can we protect ourselves?

1. Keep weight under control- Obesity is the root of many diseases, that is why it is important to maintain a healthy BMI.
2. Do regular exercise- Women should walk, walk or exercise for at least 150 minutes a week.
3. Avoid alcohol and smoking- Women should avoid things like alcohol and smoking, because both of them increase hormonal imbalance.
4. Take healthy food- Women should stay away from processed food, sweet drinks and oily food items. So that weight remains under control.

Women’s body is most special. From adolescence to motherhood and then to menopause, this body goes through many changes. At every stage the body teaches something new, changes something and leaves something. Hormonal fluctuations play a big role in this journey, which affects not only the body but also the mind. In such a situation, let us know today what changes women go through in the body from becoming a mother to menopause.

Women from motherhood to menopause

1. Teenage – Hormones start changing in girls at about 11 to 14 years of age. Due to these hormonal changes, periods start. This is a sign that the body is now getting ready for pregnancy. Many physical changes take place in the body at this time. Such as breast growth, light hair on the body, mood changes, irritability or hormonal changes.
2. Stage of becoming a mother – Becoming a mother is a unique experience in every woman’s life, but this experience brings huge changes not only emotionally but also physically. During pregnancy, the amount of estrogen and progesterone hormones in the body increases significantly. This helps in the growth of the child, but also brings about many changes. Such as fatigue and excessive sleep, mood swings, increase in body weight, stomach and waist pain, changes in skin and hair, all this is part of the body’s preparation so that the child can be born healthy.

3. Time after delivery – After the birth of a child, women enter the postpartum phase. At this time the body gradually heals and the hormones increased during pregnancy become normal again. Sometimes during this period, women may also suffer from postpartum depression, in which they feel sad, tired or upset. This happens because hormones start decreasing suddenly. During this time, it is very important to give rest to your body, eat healthy and take doctor’s advice.

4. Journey towards menopause – Around the age of 40, women’s hormones start changing again. This time is called perimenopause, i.e. the stage before menopause, during which periods can become irregular. Sometimes coming early, sometimes late, sometimes too little or too much. Gradually, when periods do not come for 12 consecutive months, it is called menopause. This age is usually between 45 to 55 years.

White discharge is a normal process in women. It is called leucorrhoea in medical language. It helps keep the vagina clean, moist and safe from infection. In most women, this occurs before or after the ovulation period or due to hormonal changes. Sometimes white discharge can also occur due to stress, weakness or lack of sleep.

As long as there is no smell, itching or change in color in the white discharge, it is considered completely normal and is a sign of healthy functioning of the body, but sometimes white discharge in women becomes dangerous. In such a situation, let us tell you today when white discharge becomes dangerous in women.

When is white discharge dangerous?

If the amount of white discharge increases, the color starts appearing yellow, green or brown and it starts smelling, then it can be a sign of some infection or disease. In such a condition, itching, burning or pain is felt in the vagina. Regarding this, experts also say that there is nothing to be afraid of due to normal discharge, but change in its color or smell can indicate many diseases. Experts say that in problems like bacterial vaginosis, the discharge becomes thin and smelly. Whereas in trichomoniasis the discharge appears yellow or green. Apart from this, it appears thick in fungal infection.

Common causes of white discharge

Hormonal changes- Increase in progesterone after ovulation causes white discharge in the vagina.

Pregnancy- White discharge may also increase due to hormonal changes in early pregnancy.

Yeast infection- White discharge may occur in women due to abundance of fungus.

Bacterial vaginosis- White discharge can also occur due to an imbalance in the bacteria in the vagina.

Stress and lack of sleep- Stress and lack of sleep also temporarily affect the hormone levels, due to which white discharge occurs in women.

In case of which symptoms should one contact the doctor?

If itching, burning or foul smell starts at the time of white discharge, then you should not take it lightly.

Apart from this, if the white discharge starts becoming foul smelling or foamy then you should also contact the doctor.

You should also contact a doctor if the color of the discharge is yellow, green or brown.

If there are problems like fibers or swelling in the skin during white discharge, you should also contact a doctor.

What to do to avoid white discharge infection?

To avoid infection caused by white discharge, women should take care of vaginal cleanliness daily and wear cotton undergarments instead of synthetic ones.

Apart from this, one should not wear wet clothes or thong liner for a long time.

Private parts should be kept dry and clean.

Breast Cancer: Generally, hormonal changes, weight fluctuations or periods are held responsible for the change in breast shape in women, but if this change happens suddenly and without any apparent reason, then it should not be ignored. Experts say that sometimes this can be a symptom of the beginning of breast cancer. Let us tell you about it in detail, what causes it and what are its symptoms.

Why the change in shape?

Now let us come to why the shape of the breast changes. Breast tissue is made up of hormones, fat and muscles. The shape of the breast may change slightly due to hormonal fluctuations during periods or pregnancy. But if you notice a change in one side of the breast, or notice any lump, swelling or stretch in the skin, then it can be a cause for concern. But the question arises whether it can cause cancer. According to Mayo Clinic, changes in the size, shape or appearance of the breast can be symptoms of breast cancer.

Apart from this, the World Health Organization has stated in its report that change in the size, shape or look of the breast can be a possible symptom of breast cancer. Another medical organization, Agendia, has also said that among the early signs of breast cancer, uneven shape or size is an important sign, which can be caused by a tumor.

What changes not to ignore

sudden increase or decrease in the size of one breast

Appearance of dimples or wrinkles on the skin of the breast

The nipple turning inwards or changing its shape

Breast irritation, pain, or persistent swelling

Unexplained discharge or bleeding from the nipple

All these changes can sometimes be due to infection, cyst or hormonal imbalance, but if they persist for a few weeks, then it is very important to get a checkup done by a doctor.

Ways to prevent breast cancer

Women should get mammography done every year after the age of 40.

If someone in the family has had breast cancer, then testing should be started only after the age of 30.

Check yourself every month. If you notice any change in lump, size or shape, consult a doctor immediately.

Apart from this, you can also avoid this problem by making changes in lifestyle. Green vegetables, fruits, whole grains and fiber-rich foods reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Lifeless and blemished skin not only affects your beauty, but also has a deep impact on your confidence. In fact, pimple marks often remain on the face for a long time and sometimes it seems very difficult to reduce them. According to experts, this is not just a skin problem but is also the result of internal problems of the body and the reaction of the skin. In such a situation, let us tell you today that if pimple marks are not going away from your face, then how can you eliminate them from the root.

Why do pimples occur?

Pimples appear on the face when oil, bacteria and dead cells accumulate in the pores of your skin. Every hour about 40 thousand dead cells fall from the skin and sometimes it blocks the pores. Whiteheads or blackheads form from small blocked pores. Whereas large blocked pores can swell and turn into serious types of pimples. According to some research, about 80 percent of people between the age of 11 to 30 years face the problem of pimples at some time or the other. Hormonal changes are the main reason for this in youth, whereas in older people, stress and menstrual cycle, oily products and birth control pills also become the reasons.

Why do pimples form scars?

Skin is made up of three main layers: epidermis, dermis and hypodermis. When pimples swell, the pore wall breaks. In such a situation, small swelling heals quickly, but sometimes the pus spreads into the surrounding skin and creates deep scars. The skin produces collagen to repair itself, but too much collagen produces scars and less collagen or tissue loss results in depressed scars.

How to eliminate pimples marks at home?

-Lemon and honey- Lemon is a natural bleaching agent and honey moisturizes the skin. By applying this mixture on dark spots for 15 minutes and then washing with lukewarm water, pimple marks on your face disappear.

-Aloe vera gel- Aloe vera gel has antibacterial properties. In such a situation, by applying aloe vera gel on the pimple marks overnight and washing it in the morning, the marks start disappearing.

-Curd and turmeric- Curd does mild exfoliation and turmeric reduces melanin. In such a situation, apply curd and turmeric and leave it for 20 minutes and then wash the face.

-Tomato and Papaya- Tomato pulp and papaya paste brightens the skin and also removes pimples by removing dead cells.

-Buttermilk or Apple Cider Vinegar- Buttermilk and apple cider vinegar are also helpful in eliminating pimple marks on the face.

In today’s fast and changing lifestyle, taking care of health has become more important than ever, especially for women, many changes occur in the body with increasing age. Like menopause, hormonal imbalance, mental stress and lack of physical activity, all these affect not only the body but also the mind. In such a situation, Omega-3 fatty acid is a type of good fat which is very important for the body, but the body can produce it on its own in very small quantities. Therefore it is necessary to take it through food.

Omega-3 fatty acids are especially important for women. But do you know that deficiency of Omega-3 fatty acids in the body makes women a dangerous disease. Omega-3 fatty acid deficiency is especially seen more in women and this is the reason why they can easily fall prey to this disease. So let us know what dangerous disease occurs if Omega-3 level decreases in women and what is the way to avoid it.

Which dangerous disease causes deficiency of Omega-3 level in women?

Due to low level of Omega-3 in women, dangerous diseases like Alzheimer’s occur. This is a serious mental illness, in which memory becomes weak, the ability to think and understand decreases and changes in behavior also occur. Brain cells are made of Omega-3, especially DHA is found in large quantities in them. It helps maintain brain functions, such as memory, ability to concentrate, and mental balance. Omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, which are major causes behind diseases like Alzheimer’s. Apart from this, Omega-3 fatty acids improve blood flow in the brain, which provides necessary nutrition and oxygen to the cells. It prevents the death of neurons i.e. it protects the cells.

Why are women at greater risk?

Hormonal changes occur in women after menopause, which can affect brain function. Also, at this age, physical activity reduces, many women also struggle with depression and there is deficiency in nutrition. A study conducted in Britain has shown that the level of Omega-3 fatty acids was found to be very low in women suffering from Alzheimer’s, whereas no such difference was seen in men. This means that Omega-3 is even more important for the brain of women, especially after the age of 40.

What is the way to avoid this

1. Eat things rich in Omega-3, like fish, flax seeds, chia seeds, walnuts, soybean and kidney beans.

2. Take Omega-3 supplements. If there is deficiency of Omega-3 in your diet then you can take DHA and EPA supplements. Especially if you do not eat fish, supplements can also be a good option.

3. Maintain an active physical nature. Physical activity may decrease after menopause, but light exercise, yoga, and meditation have a positive effect on mental health.

4. To reduce stress, pay attention to mental. Maintaining mental balance is helpful in avoiding diseases like Alzheimer’s.

In India, many issues related to women’s health are now being discussed openly in society and medicine. But autoimmune diseases are such an important health problem, which still remains out of discussion. Recently, experts threw light on this serious topic at the 40th annual conference of the Indian Rheumatology Association, IRACON 2025, held in Dwarka, Gujarat. This surprising fact came to light in this conference that out of every 10 patients suffering from autoimmune diseases, about 7 are women, that is, 70 percent of autoimmune patients are women. This statistic is not only troubling, but also shows how women’s lifestyle, hormones, and social circumstances make them more sensitive to these diseases. So let us know what autoimmune diseases are and why this disease occurs more in women.

What are autoimmune diseases?

Autoimmune diseases mean diseases in which the body’s own immune system mistakenly attacks its own healthy tissues and organs. Normally this system protects the body from infections and diseases, but in autoimmune disorders this protection system becomes a threat to the body. In these diseases, the joints, skin, muscles, blood vessels and internal organs of the body can get damaged. Some common autoimmune diseases include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, hypothyroidism and psoriasis.

Why are autoimmune diseases more common in women?

According to experts, autoimmune diseases are found more in women than in men. There can be many reasons behind this. As –

1. Hormonal Changes: Hormones in women’s bodies can affect their immune system. Hormonal changes occur during phases like periods, pregnancy and menopause, which can impair the body’s immune response.

2. Genetic Causes: Some diseases run in families. If a woman’s mother or sister has an autoimmune disease, then the chances of that woman also getting it increases.

3. Sensitivity of the immune system: The immune system of women is more active than that of men. This is the reason why they are able to fight infections better, but sometimes this activity attacks the body’s own organs.

Why is the situation worse in India?

According to experts, 70 percent of autoimmune patients are women. But it is a matter of concern that most women come to the doctor when the disease has progressed significantly. Many women keep ignoring symptoms like fatigue, joint pain, skin problems or persistent fever. They consider them as normal weakness or the effect of age. At the same time, environmental and lifestyle problems in India worsen this situation. Increasing pollution and infection in cities also affects the immune system. Apart from this, the condition starts worsening due to poor diet, stress, and lack of sleep.

Most people consider a lump in the breast to be the first and biggest symptom of breast cancer, but doctors say that this is just one aspect of the disease. At the same time, many women ignore the early and mild changes of breast cancer, which can occur without lump in the breast. This is the reason why cancer can grow without any warning. Now breast cancer has become the most common cancer in India. According to the report of Indian Council of Medical Research and National Cancer Registry Programme, breast cancer is responsible for about 28 percent of total female cancer cases in India. According to the report, it is a matter of concern that more than half of the breast cancer cases in India are detected only at an advanced stage, because the early symptoms are mostly misunderstood or ignored.

Apart from lump in breast, there are other symptoms of breast cancer also.

Experts say that not every breast cancer symptom appears in the form of a lump. Sometimes the body shows small symptoms, which are mostly ignored. Sometimes symptoms like fatigue, pain in bones and weight loss without any reason can also be early signs of cancer. Especially when it is spreading to other parts of the body. In such a situation, experts believe that even a small painless lump in the breast should not be ignored. Apart from this, according to experts, some types of diseases like triple negative breast cancer are also more common and spread faster in young women.

Hidden symptoms of breast cancer, which should not be ignored

Experts say that not all lumps are cancer and not all cancers appear as lumps. At the same time, breast cancer often starts with small light pressure in the skin or nipple. Experts say that the initial symptoms of breast cancer include thickening or dimpling on the skin. Women often experience changes in their breasts during hormonal changes such as periods, pregnancy or menopause. These hormonal changes usually appear equally in both breasts, whereas cancer symptoms are often limited to one breast. Women can detect breast cancer by a continuously growing lump in one breast. Apart from this, stretch or stiffness is also felt on the skin in the cancerous breast. At times, inward pull of the nipple is also felt.

Possible prevention from detection at the right time

According to the National Cancer Grid of India, about 60 percent of breast cancer cases in India are detected in stage 3 or 4. If detected early, the 5-year survival rate can be more than 90 percent, but if detected late, this rate reduces significantly. In such a situation, experts say that after the age of 20, women should do breast examination themselves every month. Women aged 20 to 39 should undergo clinical breast examination every 3 years and mammography is necessary for women above 44 or those at high risk. According to experts, by taking these steps, the cases of breast cancer can be identified and treated at the right time before it increases.
