Dengue Symptoms: Noida Authority AGM Ashish Bhati has died due to dengue in Delhi-NCR. According to media reports, he was the son of former minister and senior social worker Harishchandra Bhati and he was suffering from dengue for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Delhi. The cases of death due to dengue are very less, hence after this death in NCR, fear has settled in the minds of people. Let us tell you what are the symptoms of dengue and what should be done to prevent it.

dengue disease

Every year the terror of mosquitoes starts during the rainy season. This disease is spread by the bite of a mosquito called Aedes aegypti. It is kept in the category of viral infection, for which there is no specific treatment. If you want to stay safe from this, then some rules have to be followed. Many cases of this are seen all over India including Delhi-NCR. Its cases have increased in the last few years.

What are its symptoms?

Dr. Sachdeva, General Physician at Somdutt Nursing Home, Delhi, said that if we talk about its symptoms, dengue causes sudden high fever, which often reaches 102 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. There is also the problem of severe headache, especially severe pain is felt behind the eyes. It is also called bone fever, in which there is severe pain in bones and muscles. Continuous vomiting and nausea are common symptoms of this disease. Many times patients also develop rashes due to this. Dengue patient feels very tired and weak. Apart from this, the matter becomes serious when there is stomach pain, difficulty in breathing, repeated vomiting and unconsciousness, this is considered its most dangerous stage.

Dengue prevention measures

If we talk about its treatment, there is no specific vaccine or medicine for it. Therefore prevention is its biggest cure. During the rainy season, try to wear clothes that cover the entire body. Use mosquito nets and anti-mosquito cream at home, apart from this, keep nets on windows and doors. Talking about cleanliness, do not allow water to accumulate in pots, tires, coolers or buckets in and around the house.

If fever persists for more than three days, contact a doctor immediately. If put in simple words, it is a dangerous disease, but it can be prevented. We can stay safe from it by recognizing the symptoms on time and taking precautions. Preventing this can be an effective weapon for you in avoiding this disease.

National Dengue Day 2025: During summer and rainy season, the terror of mosquitoes is seen in every house, every street. During this time, there is a risk of spreading many dangerous diseases. One of them is dengue. It is a deadly viral infection that spreads through Aedes mosquito bites. High fever, headache, joint pain, skin rashes and weakness are its main symptoms. If not treated on time, it can make the condition serious by reducing the number of platelets. National Dengue Day is celebrated every year on 16 May, so that people can be made aware of this disease.

Appeal to follow the rules of cleanliness- Yogi

In this episode, the central and state governments are also taking tough steps. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in his X post appealed to follow the rules of cleanliness to avoid dengue. UP CM wrote in his X post- “Dengue is a serious disease but it can be avoided by following the rules of cleanliness. Come on this ‘National Dengue Day’, we all take a pledge that we will create a conscious society by adopting a clean environment and alert lifestyle and will create a conscious society and beat the diseases like dengue.”

The day of ‘National Dengue Day’ reminds us of being vigilant, because prevention is better than treatment. According to the Cleveland Clinic, every year about 400 million people suffer from dengue. However, in most cases, symptoms do not appear. Therefore, it is important to adopt the right treatment in time. It is very important to not allow water to accumulate around the house, wear full -sleeved clothes and use mosquito nets. Dengue mosquito thrives in clean water, such as cooler, vase, tank, or any open pot which accumulates water.

Not getting timely treatment can be fatal

Dengue mosquito is black in color and has white stripes on his body. Symptoms of dengue start appearing four to seven days after mosquito bite. Sometimes the number of platelets is very reduced in this, which can cause bleeding. This condition can be serious and if not getting treatment on time, you can also become fatal.

If someone gets dengue, then he should keep giving maximum water, lemonade, coconut water, juice, soup and liquid things. Paracetamol can be given with the advice of a doctor, which provides relief in fever and pain. Do use mosquito nets. People take some home remedies such as papaya leaf juice or Giloy decoction, although evidence has not been found for it is completely effective. Be sure to consult a doctor before taking them. Dengue patients should not take medicines without doctor’s advice and avoid eating fried and roasted.
