Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has released the result of class 12th through a press conference. The results of all streams Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational have been declared together. Students can check the result on the official site hpbose.org.

Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has released the results of class 12th, this time a total of 92.02% students were successful in the examination. Talking about last year, 86,373 students had appeared for the exam, out of which 71,591 students passed. This year, further improvement has been seen in the pass percentage, which shows better preparation of the students.

• 1st place: Sayla Kashyap – 99% Marks, Newla School, Chhatri
• 2nd place: Sanchita Dhiman and Kanshi Sharma – 98.6% marks
• third place: Tamanna Sharma, Nitin Kumar and Vaishali Thakur

How many marks to pass?

To pass HPBOSE 12th exam, at least 33% marks in each subject is required. If theory and practical combined together score 33% or more marks, then the student is considered to have passed that subject. This year most of the students have crossed this standard with good marks.

This year, a total of 81,417 students took part in the 12th examination. 2,384 examination centers were set up across the state for the examination. This time the board had made strict arrangements to prevent copying. Strict monitoring was kept at the centers so that the examination could be conducted in a completely clean environment. According to the data, 74,637 out of 81,417 students have passed. Whereas 3,071 students have got compartment, which means they will get a second chance in one or two subjects. Whereas 3,352 students could not pass this time.

The wait of students appearing for class 12th examination from Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) is expected to end on May 4. If everything goes well then the result of Senior Secondary (12th) class will be released on May 4 at 11 am. Candidates will be able to check their results through online mode on the official website of the board hpbose.org. Last year i.e. in 2025, the overall result of Himachal Board 12th board exam was recorded at 83.16%, in which girls were dominant. This year, a total of 81411 students had registered for Himachal Pradesh Board 12th examinations. The board exam was conducted from March 3 to April 1, 2026. Now these students and their parents are waiting for the release of the result, which will end tomorrow.

How many marks are required to pass?

To pass Himachal Board 12th examination, students are required to score at least 33% marks in every subject. This means that if both theory and practical combined in a subject get 33% or more marks then the student will be considered passed in that subject.
