A day before becoming the President of Pakistan, India organized an exhibition called ‘The Human Cost of Terrorism’ at the entrance of the United Nations Building and highlighted the role in Pakistan’s terrorism, which showed its involvement in global attacks not only not only India but also 9/11.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that this exhibition is to expose the culprits behind terrorism and demand to unite against terrorism globally. In the Security Council, Pakistan works closely with its ‘evergreen friend’ China. As the chairman, Pakistan will have to follow the rules of the process and diplomatic traditions, including allowing members to speak and offer proposals.

Foreign Minister indicates towards Pakistan

He pointed to Pakistan, saying that when terrorism is supported by a country against a neighbor and it is inspired by the spirit of bigotryism, it is necessary to publicly condemn terrorism in public.

S. Jaishankar said, “When terrorism is supported against the neighboring country, when it is encouraged by extremism of extremism, when it promotes all kinds of illegal activities, it is necessary to publicly highlight it and one way to do so is to showcase the devastation caused by it in the global society.”

He said in his address that we have gathered here with “a sense of seriousness for the exhibition that highlighted the human price paid to terrorism.” He said, “This exhibition is a humble but firm effort to give voice to those who cannot speak, it is a tribute to those who have gone away from us and whose life has been destroyed by the wage of terrorism.” Each memory, each artwork and each word tells the story of a destroyed life.

S. Jaishankar underlined that the pain of the families of the victims of terrorism “gives a clear reminder of our immediate need for our shared responsibility to fight all forms and expressions.” He said that here in the United Nations, “We should not only remember” but to work for the values ​​and human rights that should be “committed to protect and maintain them.

He said, “Terrorism is one of the most serious threats for humanity. This is contrary to all beliefs of the human rights, rules and norms of the United Nations and how the nations should treat each other. “The Foreign Minister said,” Any country sponsored terrorism should be exposed. Till now we have known very well that terrorism is a threat to peace everywhere. This understanding should guide our collective thinking and response. ”
