China Executes Scam Gang Members: China has taken a big step on Thursday by adopting a tough stance against the cyber fraud network linked to Myanmar. According to news agency Xinhua, 11 people associated with Myanmar-based criminal gangs have been hanged, including key members involved in online fraud. This action is considered to be one of China’s most stringent actions so far against the billion-dollar cyber scam industry flourishing in South-East Asia.

These 11 convicts were sentenced to death by a court in Wenzhou city of eastern China in September. The court executed the sentence and hanged everyone on Thursday itself. The report said that the death penalty had also been approved by the Supreme People’s Court in Beijing.

Serious crimes like murder, kidnapping, fraud proved

According to Xinhua, serious charges like intentional murder, causing grievous hurt, illegal detention, fraud and illegal casino operation were proved against the culprits. The court held that the evidence related to the crimes committed from 2015 till now is conclusive and sufficient. Members of the notorious Ming Family criminal gang were also among those hanged. According to the report, 14 Chinese citizens were killed and many others were seriously injured due to the activities of this gang. Government media reported that close relatives of the convicts were allowed to meet them before the execution.

This fraud network is flourishing in Myanmar border areas

Scam centers have mushroomed in Myanmar’s lawless border areas, turning into a multi-billion dollar illegal industry. These scam centers usually employ foreign nationals, including a large number of Chinese nationals. Many victims say that they were trafficked and forced to commit online fraud.

Raid on scam hubs like KK Park

A raid was also conducted at KK Park located in Mayawadi area of Myanmar, which is considered a scam center and a major hub of human trafficking. However, by the time the action was taken, its operators had absconded. In the last few years, China has increased cooperation with South-East Asian countries so that these scam centers can be cracked down on. Under this cooperation, thousands of people have been brought back to China.

Billion dollar global cyber fraud network

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), this global industry run through online scams like romance-based investment fraud is worth about $ 40 billion every year. In April, the United Nations warned that Chinese and South-East Asian gangs were earning dozens of billions of dollars every year through cyber scam centers. In January this year, authorities had arrested Chen Xie, the alleged scam kingpin and head of the banned Prince Group. Later he was brought to China through extradition, where his interrogation and legal action is ongoing.

Telangana Government on Human Trafficking: After the matter of selling two Dalit women from Asifabad district of Telangana, the state government has announced to set up a special cell for prevention of women trafficking. This decision is taken after the exposure of a comprehensive human trafficking network. Of the nine accused involved in this case, six have been arrested by the police so far.

Women sold by sending to Madhya Pradesh by deception

According to the police, a 22 -year -old girl from Wadigondi village in Asifabad district of Telangana was missing for the last one year. During the updation of his Aadhaar card, the matter was revealed only after getting the address and contact number of Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, another 25 -year -old woman under Asifabad district headquarters was also sent to Madhya Pradesh by deception.

When the police investigated intensely in this case, the shocking fact was revealed. Police came to know that these two women were sold for Rs 1.30 lakh and 1.10 lakh respectively.

Police sent MP to arrest the three accused absconding

The arrest of six accused in the case has already been done, now the police have sent a special team in Madhya Pradesh to search for the remaining three absconding accused. The arrested accused include four local women, who are accused of winning the trust of the victims and implicating them. Police officials believe that this gang may be active for a long time and would have developed a broad network.

Out of a total of 9 accused involved in the case, 5 women involved

Detailed information about the accused shows that these include five women and four men. Three of these accused are residents of Madhya Pradesh, two in Manchurial district and four of Asifabad district. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police has formed a special investigation team. DSP Ramanjam said in this regard that the police is committed to fully highlight this network of human trafficking.

Rights when police raid: People have often heard a lot about Delhi’s GB Road on social media. Everyone knows what GB Road is famous for. The business of prostitution runs in the area of GB Road. Even if people are not seen there in the light on the day. But as soon as evening, a crowd of people start gathering there. Many times the police also has red in GB Road area.

Many times, women are forcibly pushed into this business. If the police get information about this. So the police comes and kills red. It takes people involved in this illegal work. If you are also present on GB Road. And in such a situation, the police killed red. So can you be arrested too? Let’s answer this.

Can you be arrested in police raid on GB Road?

GB Road is the famous red light area of Delhi. Prostitution is done here. Let us tell you that prostitution is not illegal in India under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. But promoting it in public places, it is illegal to do this work in public places. In such a situation, the police can take action.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1vuj4b5x4

Also read: In this scheme, the poor get pension, only have to deposit in a month

That is, if you have gone to GB Road for some work. The police raid there. So you cannot be arrested directly. But you cannot tell why you were present there. And you do not even have any valid ID proof. Then in such a situation, the police can take you into custody for questioning.

Also read: There is no money to install solar panels of Surya Ghar scheme? This one will work for you

Due to these reasons, arrest is done

Let me tell you if someone does smuggling or force with a girl. Or is involved in the exploitation of a girl or woman. Has lured someone there and brought it there. In such a situation, the police register a case under strict sections and arrest them directly. But if you are passing by. Or are trapped inadvertently there. So the police will interrogate you if you do not do suspicious activity.

So the police will let you go, but you will not be able to know what you had to be there. Neither you will have an identity card. So in such a situation, the police can take your police station. That is, you will be arrested only then. When you will be found involved in an illegal activity.

Bimstec meeting: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed concern over terrorism, illegal drug trade, human system and related issues during the 20th BIMSTEC ministerial meeting on Thursday (April 03, 2025). Jaishankar emphasized the need to adopt a wider and more ambitious approach towards BIMSTEC to deal with these challenges in the world rapidly unstable.

He said, “There are also some problems of the real world, which we should solve. For this we have to recognize the severity of cyber security, anti-terrorism, human trafficking, illegal drug trade and other related activities. We need to make the necessary structures to deal with them effectively.”

‘Global system is going through a round of turmoil’

Jaishankar said that today the global system encourages countries to become more agenda-specific.

‘The direction of selected countries ends’

Jaishankar said that the era is now over when some selected countries used to direct the international system. He said, “The era when some powers used to control the international system, are now left behind. How we look at our possibilities depends on us to a large extent. It is better to work with each other instead of individually, as developing countries, who are facing many challenges.”
