The weather patterns have also completely changed due to climate change and change in environment. The variety of weather has already been a challenge in a country like India, but now a new problem has started to bother. This problem is also a feeling of high heat in low temperatures. This situation can also pose a serious threat to health, which has also been confirmed in new research.

Why does low temperature get more heat?

Usually we measure the temperature based on dry bulb temperature, shown by thermometer. However, the body of humans does not feel temperature only on the basis of dry bulb. Instead, the reasons like ‘Wet Bulb Temperature’ (WBT) and ‘Heat Index’ decide how much heat we are feeling. Wet bulb temperature is also taken into account air humidity, which affects the evaporation of sweat. When humidity is high, sweat does not dry easily, due to which the body does not get cold and we feel more heat, even if the temperature is low.

How dangerous this situation is for health?

According to the publishing study in The Lancet Neurology Journal, the feeling of high temperatures can have a serious impact not only on physical health, but also mental health. According to researcher Professor Sanjay Sisodia of the University of College London, temperature fluctuations can damage mental health. This condition can increase migraine, Alzheimer’s and other neurological problems.

What is the effect on the body?

When the body temperature exceeds 40 ° C, the risk of heat stroke increases. Its symptoms include dizziness, irritability, strong heartbeat and shortness of breathing. If the sweat does not dry due to excess humidity, then there may be a lack of water and electrolytes in the body. It can cause fatigue, weakness and unconsciousness. Due to the heat, the heart has to work hard to cool the blood, which increases the danger for the heart patient.

These people have more problems

Many research has proved that the increasing heat is also affecting the mental health. This can increase disorders like anxiety, depression and schizophrenia. This especially has more impact on youth and children. It is estimated that if the heat continues to increase in this way, the risk of mental disease by 2030 can increase by 11 percent and by 2050 to 27.5 %. Excess heat may cause more problems to the elderly, children and already existing diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
