Tata Motors, one of the large automobile companies, have started a trial of trucks using hydrogen as fuel. Most trucks in the country run on diesel. This is a major cause of pollution. The use of diesel may also reduce the import of fuel of the country.

Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Tata motors The Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), Girish Wagh sent 16 hydrogen trucks for the trial on the road for the next two years. These trucks will run on some of the busiest routes of the freight. These include the routes of Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Jamshedpur. On this occasion, Gadkari said, “Hydrogen has the ability to bring a big change in the transportation sector to reduce the emission in hydrogen and increase self-reliance on energy. It is a fuel of the future. This will increase the speed of sustainable mobility in heavy-duty trucking and we will move towards an affidavit and low carbon.”

Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, Tata Motors has obtained a tender for trials of hydrogen trucks from the Ministry of Renewable Energy. These trucks have an internal combustion engine as well as fuel cells. Their range is about 500 km. Hydrogen-powered trucks have advanced driver-assistant safety features that will make it easier for drivers during the trial period. Tata Motors’ hydrogen -powered 15 buses are already being tried.

Recently, the manufacturing of the company’s EV Unit Tata.Ev was more than two lakh units. Tata.ev’s portfolio includes punch Ev, Tiago Ev Tigor Ev and CurvV EV. The company also plans to bring the EV version of the Harrier.

The Sales of Electric Vehicle (EV) of Tata Motors, one of the large automobile companies, have declined in the current financial year. Along with this, there has been a decrease in the company’s market share in this market. The collision from companies like MG Motor is a big reason behind this. In February, EV sales of Tata Motors declined by about 23 percent to 5,343 units on a year-by-year basis.

In this financial year, the sales of EV in the country and international market of the company are about 12 percent to about 58,293 units. According to an estimate, Tata Motors’ stake in this market is reduced to about 56 percent. Tata Motors’ EV Unit Tata.Ev’s manufacturing has become more than two lakh units. Tata.ev’s portfolio includes punch Ev, Tiago Ev Tigor Ev and CurvV EV. The company also plans to launch the EV version of the Harrier. With a view to increasing charging facility for customers, the company has extended the free charging benefit at Tata Power’s charging stations for six months. Free installation of 7.2 kw AC fast home charger has also been offered by the company.

The sale of MG Motor has increased rapidly in the EV segment. The market share of MG Motor is about 28 percent. In February, the company sold around 3,800 EVs. The company’s retail sales have increased by 16.3 percent. EV holds about 78 percent stake in it. The company’s Windsor EV has received good response from customers. MG Motor also plans to launch some new models in the EV segment.

The company’s EV portfolio consists of COMET EV, Windsor EV and ZS EV. The company has helped to increase the stake in this segment from the Windsor EV. The manufacturing of this electric crossover last month exceeded 15,000 units. It is being manufactured in MG Motor’s Halol factory in Gujarat. MG Motor had told that he is getting about 200 bookings per day for Windsor EV. To fulfill its increasing demand, the company has also prepared to increase the capacity of its factory.
