The tension that arose amid the ‘I Love Muhammad’ campaign in Uttar Pradesh has now spread to Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. In Chandrayangutta area, a youth directly challenged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by putting up ‘I Love Muhammad’ poster. In the video, the youth said that if you have the courage to remove it, then come and remove it, but for this you will have to pass through the dead bodies first. This video has gone viral on social media, raising questions on communal harmony.

Chandrayangutta, a sensitive Muslim-dominated area in Hyderabad’s old city, said young local resident Mohammad Salim (fictitious name, inspired by the video) said the move was in response to the ongoing controversy in UP. The youth who put up the poster in the viral video said, “Today the entire social media was shaken. If we come to the ground, we will shake the entire earth.”

Use of abusive language against CM Yogi
The young man further said, “You can play in UP, you cannot do it here, if you do this here then you will have to leave your chair and run away.” On the other hand, the young man said, “Brother, you can say anything to us, but when it comes to Namus-e-Risalat, you will have to leave your chair and run away.”

The controversy started from Bareilly, UP
This controversy originally started from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where after Friday prayers on 26 September, people of Muslim community demonstrated with ‘I Love Muhammad’ posters in honor of Prophet Muhammad. During this period, 68 people were arrested in the police action, which included local Maulvi Taukir Raza Khan. There is local police alert after this incident in Hyderabad.

Jamaat-e-Islami President Syed Saadatullah Hussaini expressed serious concern over the arrest of Islamic scholar Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan with several other people in Bareilly and said that it is a reflection that it is a reflection that in which direction our country is being taken by communal politics and hatred.

Use of derogatory language against Maulana Tauqir

Hussaini said, ‘Even more disturbing is that some political leaders have used derogatory language against a reputed scholar like Maulana Tauqir Raza, which highlights the disgusting politics behind this entire episode. Such an inconsistent use of state power not only weakens the rule of law, but also deepens separation and mistrust.

The Jamaat president said, ‘India has faced countless protests and movements in its democratic journey. Although violent incidents such as stone pelting or damage to property should always be condemned, no allegations are valid without proper investigation and it is a basic principle of governance that law enforcement agencies respond with equality and genetics.

Communities are being divided

He said, ‘Similar movements in the past have been managed without any harsh allegations or balanced response of criminalization of the entire community. Targeting and taking action against any one group is a violation of both the spirit of the Constitution and the principles of fair governance.

Maulana said, ‘What is being displayed today is the misuse of state machinery and law enforcement for political objectives, which is turning the challenges of law and order into communal polarization opportunities. Every time elections come close, this cycle is repeated, communities are divided, mistrust is created and the social fabric of the nation is sacrificed for narrow benefits. This is a dangerous path, which is destroying democratic institutions and constitutional values.

Syed Saadatullah appeals to Muslim communities

Syed Saadatullah Hussaini said, ‘We appeal to the Muslim community to be firm, peaceful and follow the messages of patience, kindness and compassion of Prophet Muhammad (there is peace and grace of God). At the same time, we urge the government to immediately withdraw excessive allegations, release the people detained wrongly and restore equality, genetics and justice in governance.

Hussaini said, ‘India’s strength lies in the social fabric of its constitution, its pluralism and mutual respect. Weakening these foundations for short -term political benefits causes damage to not only a community, but the entire nation.

On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Baba Balak Nath expressed his response on this issue. He called it a conspiracy to the opposing parties. The state government is fully capable of dealing with such matters.

These people are hindering the progress of the country, but the country has moved forward. The people of the country are with PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath.

What did Abu Azmi say?

Senior Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi said on the Bareilly controversy that an FIR was wrongly lodged in Kanpur, after which the agitation started against it. He said that if something went wrong in Bareilly, the case should have been registered. The way the police lathi -charged should be condemned. He said that on the occasion of Eid Miladunnabi, the Muslim community expressed love for its Prophet by saying ‘I Love Mohammed’, but an FIR was lodged on it.
