The police have got a big clue in the case of the blast that took place on November 10 near Red Fort metro station in Delhi. Police have recovered the red colored Ford EcoSport car (number DL10CK0458) from Faridabad, on which an alert was already issued. The vehicle was found parked near Khandavali village, after which the Faridabad Police rounded it up. It is believed that this is the same vehicle which was linked to the suspects involved in the blast.

Delhi Police had issued an alert regarding this red EcoSport car on Tuesday itself. The police suspected that this vehicle was present with the suspects on the day of the blast. After this, five police teams were busy searching for it in Delhi and surrounding areas. Taking action, Faridabad Police rounded up the vehicle parked near Khandavali village. Now preparations are underway to seize the vehicle and conduct a forensic investigation.

The car was registered in the names of two owners
Investigation has revealed that this Ford EcoSport was earlier registered in the name of Pankaj Gupta, whereas currently it is registered in the name of Umar Nabi. Police are now trying to find out how the vehicle reached Umar from Pankaj and whether it was used by any other person or network in between.

The last service was held in Srinagar
According to police records, the last service of the vehicle was done in Srinagar in 2024. This information has increased the concern of the investigating agencies, because it indicates that the vehicle may have been brought from Kashmir to Delhi through some network.

Suspicious EcoSport was seen with i20
During the investigation, it also came to light that this red EcoSport was also seen along with an i20 car around the Red Fort metro station on the day of the blast. The activities of both the vehicles have been captured in CCTV footage. For this reason this vehicle was included in the suspicious list. Delhi Police had already put Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Police on alert.

So far, 12 people have died in the blast that took place near Red Fort metro station on November 10, while more than 20 people are injured. All the injured are being treated at LNJP Hospital.

12 killed, 20 injured in blast
On Monday (November 10, 2025) at 6:52 pm, 12 people died and 20 were injured in an explosion in a white Hyundai i20 car. Delhi Police has registered a case in this matter under strict sections of UAPA. NSG and FSL teams have collected forensic evidence from the spot.

The story of the i-20 car used in the blast is long.
The car used in the blast was purchased from Royal Car Zone located in Sector 32, Faridabad. ABP News investigation revealed that car seller Amit Patel’s phone was switched off after the incident. Liquor bottles and decks of cards were also found in the office of the shop. A new CCTV footage related to the car has also surfaced, in which Umar is seen getting the pollution certificate of the car made. This video is said to be from 29th October.

Car timeline: Entry from Badarpur toll in the morning, explosion in the evening
On November 10, the car entered Delhi at 8:04 am, refueled at Okhla, and entered the Red Fort parking lot in the afternoon. At 6:45 pm it came out of the parking lot, took a U-turn near Old Delhi Railway Station and at 6:52 pm there was an explosion at the signal near Red Fort metro station. It is being told that there were three people in the car and all of them died instantly.

The blast seems to be linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) module, which was recently caught in Jammu-Kashmir and Haryana. About 2999 kg of explosives, AK-47 and other weapons were found in the raids related to this module.

Arrest or detention of 6 doctors
So far, action has been taken against 6 doctors in the investigation. Among those on whom action has been taken, Dr. Omar Ul Nabi Dar, Dr. Adil, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, Dr. Shaheen Shahid have been arrested, while Dr. Sajjad Ahmed Mala has been detained from Pulwama. He is said to be a close friend of Dr. Omar.

Entry of NIA- Home Ministry handed over the responsibility of investigation
Union Home Ministry Delhi blast The investigation of the case has been handed over to NIA. NIA will now formally take over the case from Delhi Police and investigate in detail the items used in the blast, the conspiracy and possible terrorist connections. Earlier, NSG’s post-blast investigation team and forensic experts had collected important evidence from the incident site.

As the investigation into the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort is progressing, the biggest question facing the security agencies is whether it was a suicide attack? This question has become even more complicated as three people were seen sitting in the car just before the explosion.

Why were questions raised on the fidayeen angle?
In the initial investigation, Delhi Police had found a Pulwama connection, which strengthened the possibility of a suicide attack. But CCTV footage, in which three people were seen leaving in a car, weakens this theory. According to a senior officer, ‘If there were three people in the car, the chances of all of them being suicide bombers are very less, usually in suicide attacks there are one or two attackers, not three.’

Was the car’s target something else?
Investigative agencies are also looking at the possibility that the car might have been taken to some other place, but an explosion occurred accidentally on the way. With the help of forensic evidence and dump data obtained from mobile networks, efforts are on to find out with whom the car riders were in contact and were they unaware of the real plan?

Explosion near Red Fort – coincidence or conspiracy?
The explosion took place near a famous and crowded place like the Red Fort, which has deepened the suspicion that the location may have been deliberately chosen. However, CCTV footage also revealed that the car went to the Red Fort parking lot, stopped for some time and then came out. The investigating agencies are seeing this as ‘Reiki’ or ‘hesitation’.

Did the explosion happen accidentally?
NIA sources say that it is also possible that the car occupants were handling the explosive and it was accidentally triggered. That means this attack was probably planned for somewhere else, but failed midway. At present, the role of three people sitting in the i20 car is the biggest mystery of this case. Investigating agencies are trying to clarify whether it was a planned suicide attack or a sudden explosion that occurred while the explosives were being transported.
