After the attack on American military bases in Gulf countries, Iran is now planning to target US tech companies. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) on Tuesday (31 March 2026) warned of attacks on 18 American companies, including Google and Microsoft. This threat from Iran has now made even corporate locations unsafe.

 These companies including Apple-Google are on the trail of Iran

IRGC said that if any Iranian leaders are assassinated now, they will target American companies in Gulf countries. They have warned that they will target major American tech and defense-related companies in response to American and Israeli attacks. These companies include Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, Dell, Palantir, Nvidia, JP Morgan, Tesla, General Electric, Spire Solutions, G42 and Boeing.

This company is helping American intelligence agencies: IRGC

The IRGC has said that these companies cooperate with Israeli-American military and intelligence agencies, so they can be targeted. Iran has held these companies responsible for its cyber attacks and said that it will take all necessary steps to protect itself. Microsoft and Apple have corporate offices in the United Arab Emirates, primarily concentrated in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Death of Iranian Brigadier General

IRGC said that information technology and AI companies are playing an important role in planning against Iran. Apart from Google and Microsoft, companies like Anthropic and OpenAI are also leaders in the AI field. Earlier, the IRGC confirmed the killing of a Brigadier General in an American-Israeli airstrike. According to the IRGC, Jamshid Ishaqi, a brigadier general of the army and advisor to the Chief of the General Staff, was killed. America had banned them last year.

Sensex and Nifty are under pressure due to continuous decline in IT stocks in the share market. Shares of Infosys, TCS and Wipro fell 5–10%, while selling was also seen in IBM in New York. The reason is believed to be not Tariffs, but AI driven Technological Shift. Anthropic’s Claude 4 and Autonomous Coding Agents have increased pressure on the traditional IT Services model. Time and Material based models and legacy maintenance revenue are being challenged by AI automation. Although not a bubble like 2000, but a consolidation like 2008 is visible—this could become a long-term opportunity for companies adopting AI.

AI impact on jobs: IBM Chief Executive Officer Arvind Krishna has said that with the increasing scope of Artificial Intelligence (AI), some jobs will undoubtedly be lost, but many new jobs will also be generated. In an interview given to Bloomberg, Krishna said that the increasing pace of adoption of AI is likely to have the biggest impact on jobs like call centers, so now it is the responsibility of companies to reskill their employees.

layoffs happening everywhere

Bloomberg quoted a person related to the matter as saying that fitness technology company Peloton Interactive Inc. Saying cost cutting, it has decided to lay off about 11 percent of its employees. Engineers working on technology development and enterprise-based initiatives are likely to be most impacted.

A source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Peloton Chief Executive Officer Peter Stern has informed his workers about the layoffs. This decision of Peloton has come amid large-scale job cuts in the global technology sector. Nowadays companies are rapidly adopting AI by restructuring their operations. Just earlier this week, Amazon announced the layoff of 16,000 employees.

sword hanging on job

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, during a recent interview, mentioned bad days for the job market in the future. He predicts a 50 percent decline in entry-level jobs within 1-5 years. New data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics has confirmed this.

According to this data, job openings in the US decreased to 6.54 million at the end of December, which is the lowest level since September 2020. “AI will eliminate 50 percent of entry-level white-collar jobs in 1-5 years, and we think we could have AI that is more capable than everyone else in just 1-2 years,” Amodei said in an article titled ‘The Adolescence of Technology’.

During an important panel discussion held in Davos, Switzerland, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna gave a clear and unambiguous answer to the criticism regarding India’s technological capabilities. Sharing the stage with Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, he said that the perception that India is lagging behind in tech innovation, especially enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI), is wrong.

While talking to a private TV channel, Arvind Krishna said that a major part of technology in India is not limited to creating completely new apps. He said that Indian companies work to improve existing systems, scale them and maintain them for the long term, which involves deep enterprise and AI innovation. According to him, saying that Indian tech talent is limited only to the application level is a superficial and wrong assessment.

How value shifts in the tech revolution

IBM CEO, while explaining the development of technology, said that the center of value changes in every technological revolution. Right from the beginning, there is investment in infrastructure like semiconductors, then operating systems and finally the most innovation is seen at the application level. He said that typically 90% of the value goes into application innovation in less than 10 years. If India adopts this change at the right time, there can be a big jump in both innovation and investment.

Not big AI models, small smart models are the strength of India

Speaking on Large Language Models (LLMs), Arvind Krishna said that trillion-parameter large AI models will become common and affordable in the future. The price and switching costs of such models will be very low, due to which they will not provide much strategic advantage to any country. Instead, he advised India to develop small, specialized and effective AI models that include the country’s sovereign data. He clearly said that such models can and should be made in India.

Excellent results from Sovereign AI

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also supported this thinking. He told that recently Sovereign AI models were used in a big defense scenario, the results of which were very impressive. He said that creating a complete ecosystem of small and special models for different sectors is the right direction for economic and strategic benefits.

Different thinking regarding AGI

Arvind Krishna took a different perspective on Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) from the prevailing thinking in Silicon Valley. He said that believing in AGI has become like an ideology or religion. Some people believe that with more data and bigger models we will get there, but they do not agree with this thinking. According to him, the real challenge is how to properly put knowledge into AI models and this remains the biggest shortcoming of science today.

Viable future for India

IBM CEO said that only efficient and sector-specific models like 50 billion parameters will prove to be most useful in the future. These are not only about 100 times cheaper than larger models, but also open new avenues of large-scale innovation and self-reliant AI development for countries like India.

Top 10 Attractive Brands of India: Tata Group, Google India and Infosys have emerged as India’s best employer brand. This has been revealed in the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) 2025 report. According to the report, the youth of the country are giving more priority to the objective-operating employment options, including work-life balance, uniform treatment with all employees, good salary and other facilities.

Tata Group at the forefront

According to the survey, the Tata Group has performed well not only in terms of financial health, but also for the opportunities given in pursuing career and the identity of its brand. This year, Google came up second in India rankings, while Infosys finished third.

These companies also included in the list

Only good salary is not enough

SBI is the only public sector bank in the list of top-10 employees brand. To make this report, more than 1,70,000 people were asked their opinion in 34 markets, including more than 3,500 respondents of India. This shows that not only good salary matters for today’s youth, but they have many more expectations from this. They are giving projects to such places to work, where both personal and professional growth.

AI started using more

According to the report, in the first half of 2025, there was a plan to switch a job of 47 percent youth. In this, both Generation Z (51 percent) and Millennials (50 percent) expressed their desire to change the employer. Apart from this, people have started using it as much as the use of AI is increasing.

61 percent of employees in India are now using it. Millennials are its most active users, whose number has increased by 13 percent over the previous year. 38 percent employees believe that AI has a profound impact on their work.

 IBM Layoff: Tech Company IBM is going to lay off its about 9000 employees. The work of large -scale corporate reconducting is going on in the company. This is going to be done in many of its offices in America. According to a report by The Register, about a quarter of people will be extracted from IBM’s cloud classic division under this trimming. However, the company has not yet been told how many people will be removed from work. & Nbsp;

Employees of these segments will affect more

According to the report, this move to be taken by the company will affect thousands of employees in California, New York City and State, Texas, Dallas, Rale, North Carolina."Text-Align: justify;"> In this era of retrenchment, the company is expected to remove employees working under Consultant, Corporate Social Responseability Initiative, Cloud Infrastructure, Sales and IBM Chief Information Officer."Text-Align: justify;"> The big reason behind the sorting from IBM Cloud Classic is the plan of the company to shift employment in India. IBM, slowly but continuously, is transferring jobs abroad. Perhaps this time corporate renunciation is also a part of this plan. & Nbsp;

The report also said that the remaining employees in the US will also affect the company’s new work policy. Those who have survived the retrench have been asked to come to office at least three days a week from April. & Nbsp; & nbsp;
