Bank Jobs: If you are preparing for a job in a bank and have not yet been able to apply for IBPS PO or SO recruitment, then there is relief news for you. Actually, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has extended the last date of application for Probationary Officer and Specialist Officer Recruitment Examination 2026. Now interested candidates can apply online till 26th July. The application process is continuing on the official website of IBPS, ibps.in.

How many posts will be filled under IBPS recruitment process?

Through this recruitment drive, appointments will be made to a total of 7,460 posts in various partnered public sector banks of the country. Of these, 6,715 posts are earmarked for Probationary Officer and 745 posts for Specialist Officer. Those candidates who have not applied yet can fill their form within the stipulated time limit.

What is the qualification for PO post?

Candidates applying for the post of Probationary Officer must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Apart from this, it is necessary for the candidate to have degree or marksheet available at the time of application. While filling the online form, graduation marks will also have to be entered.

Different eligibility rules for SO post

Educational qualifications have been prescribed differently for different posts of Specialist Officer. Therefore, before applying, candidates are advised to carefully read the eligibility conditions of the concerned post in the official notification.

• After this click on the application link of IBPS PO or SO Recruitment 2026.
• Now first register and then login and fill the application form.
• After uploading the required documents, pay the application fee.
• Finally submit the form and download the confirmation copy of the form and keep it safe.

How much application fee will have to be paid?

For this recruitment, the application fee for general category and other eligible category candidates has been fixed at Rs 850. Whereas candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Benchmark Disabled PWBD category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 175. Fees can be paid through debit card and credit card, net banking or UPI.
