The International Cricket Council (ICC) has increased the prize money of the 2025 Women’s ODI Cups to promote the popularity of women’s cricket and give them equal respect for male cricketers. The ICC has increased bumper in the prize money of the Women’s ODI World Cup. Now about 40 crores will be given to the champion team.

In the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup, the winning team will get a prize money of $ 44.80 lakh (about Rs 39.55 crore), which will be the largest prize money in this tournament so far.

A total of eight teams will participate in the Women’s ODI World Cup. The ICC has declared a total prize money of $ 13.88 million (about Rs 122.5 crore) for this tournament. The ICC said in a statement, “The ICC has established a new criteria for women’s cricket, as the champion will get a record 44.8 million prize money.”

The total prize money of the previous Women’s ODI World Cup played in New Zealand was around Rs 31 crore and in this way, this amount has been increased by about 297 percent. The total prize money of the Women’s ODI World Cup is more than the prize money of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, with a total prize money of $ 10 million (about Rs 88.26 crore).

Women’s ODI World Cup runner -up team will now get $ 2.24 million (about Rs 19.77 crore) while teams losing in the semi -finals will get $ 1.12 million (about Rs 9.89 crore). The teams will get $ 34,314 (about 30.29 lakh rupees) if winning the group stage (league stage). Fifth and sixth -ranked teams will get $ 700,000 (about 62 lakh rupees) and seventh and eighth place teams will get $ 280,000 (about Rs 24.71 lakh). Each participant team will get $ 250,000 (about 22 lakh rupees).

The ICC said that the purpose of this step is to increase the popularity of women’s cricket around the world and bring it equal to male cricket. ICC chairman Jai Shah said that this is a step taken towards giving priority to women cricket. He said, this announcement will prove to be a milestone in the journey of women’s cricket. This four -fold increase in the award amount is a historical moment for women cricket and reflects our clear commitment for its long -term development. Our message is simple, women cricketers should know that if they choose this game professionally, they will be treated as men.

ODI World Cup 2025 Team India Schedule: The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup will start from 30 September and its final match will be played on 2 November. But after the release of the World Cup schedule, the ICC has made a special change in it. The matches to be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will be held at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The Karnataka government has stopped organizing the World Cup at the Chinnaswamy Stadium after the Bengaluru stampede case. This change has affected India’s two matches, which has changed the schedule.

• Sixth- 23 October: India vs New Zealand, Navi Mumbai
• Seventh- 26 October: India vs Bangladesh, Navi Mumbai

Changes in knock out match schedule also

The first semi -final of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup will be played on October 29 in Guwahati or Colombo. The second semi -final was to be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium first, but that too will be held at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. At the same time, the final of this World Cup will also be played in one of the Navi Mumbai or Colombo.

If Pakistan’s team manages to reach the semi -finals, then a knockout match will be held in Colombo. On the other hand, if the Pakistan team wins the semi -finals and enters the finals, then the final of the World Cup will be played in Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo. India is hosting this World Cup, but all the matches in Pakistan have been kept in Colombo.
