On Wednesday, ICC has released the latest rankings, in which Virat Kohli has gained in ODI Batting Ranking. In the first match of the ongoing ODI series (IND vs SA ODI) against South Africa, Virat had played a brilliant century of 135 runs. Virat has now once again come one step closer to becoming the world’s number-1 batsman. Currently Rohit Sharma is the number-1 batsman in ODIs.

Virat has advantage in ranking

Virat has benefited from his century innings against South Africa, due to which he has now moved up to fourth position with the gain of one place. He has achieved fourth position by defeating Shubman Gill. Virat’s rating points have reached 751, while Rohit Sharma, who is at number one, has 783 rating points.

4 Indians among top-10 batsmen

Let us tell you that there are four Indian batsmen in the top-10 of the ODI batting rankings. Rohit Sharma is at the first place, while Virat Kohli is at the fourth place and the regular captain of the Indian ODI team, Shubman Gill is at the fifth place. The fourth Indian batsman in the top-10 is Shreyas Iyer, who remains at number nine in the rankings.

Jasprit Bumrah remains the world’s number-1 Test bowler in ICC’s King Rankings. But Pakistan’s spinner Nauman Ali (Noman Ali Ranking) has started looming as a threat on his number-1 spot. Whereas in the women’s ODI rankings, India’s Smriti Mandhana remains the world’s number-1 batsman. Kuldeep Yadav has suffered a loss in the bowling rankings, while Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma remain in the top-5 of the ODI batting rankings.

PAK bowlers are a threat to Bumrah

Pakistan’s spinner Nauman Ali has made a huge leap in the Test bowling rankings. He has become the world’s number-2 Test bowler by jumping four places. Nauman Ali is now just 29 points behind Bumrah in terms of ratings points. Apart from Bumrah, there is no Indian in the list of top-10 bowlers of Test. In the Test batting rankings, Shubman Gill has moved up one place to 12th.

Pakistan’s Nauman Ali had taken 10 wickets in both the innings of the first Test against South Africa. He took 2 wickets in the first innings of the second test.

Four Indians among top-10 ODI batsmen

The Indian team is currently playing an ODI series on the Australian tour. There are four Indians in the top-10 of ODI batting rankings. Shubman Gill is the world’s top ODI batsman, Rohit Sharma remains at third and Virat Kohli remains at number-5. Shreyas Iyer has lost one place, but is still at tenth position.
