An artist wants to practice his art till his last breath and this is what my friend, my family and my idol, Dharmendra Deol ji did. Dharam was not just a person. He was a feeling, and a feeling never lets anyone go. They just inspire you to move forward in the form of memories and blessings.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the shows of ‘Dhurandhar’ have been reduced by 50 percent in many single screen theaters from tomorrow. In many single screen theatres, 2 shows of ‘Dhurandhar’, 2 shows of ‘Ikkis’ and 1 show of Marathi film Krantijyoti Vidyalaya Marathi medium will be shown. Quoting a trade analyst, it has been said that in a city like Mumbai, ‘Ikkis’ shows are probably more popular than ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’. ‘Ikkis’ has got shows in those single screen theaters where till last week only ‘Dhurandhar’ was being shown.

‘Ikkis’ asked for 30-40% showcase
Quoting a source in the report, ‘Ekkis 1’ is being distributed by Jio Studios, which is also the distributor and producer of ‘Dhurandhar’. Therefore, he has no problem with Dhurandhar having fewer shows, because the Ranveer Singh starrer film has already earned tremendously. Apart from this, this film will enter its fifth week on Friday, January 2. That’s why he has demanded about 30-40% showcase for Twenty One.

‘Ikkis’ will get audience through word of mouth
Regarding ‘Ikkis’, it is further written in the report – ‘They have demanded four shows in two screen theatres. He has demanded six shows in three-screen theaters and eight shows in four-screen multiplexes. He has demanded more than ten shows in theaters with five or more screens. And the matter does not end here. In single screen, two screen and three screen cinemas, he has instructed the presenters not to show the show too early in the morning, perhaps because ‘Ikkis’ is a film which will not attract the audience early in the morning and will gradually attract the audience’s attention only through word of mouth.

In an interview with The Hindu, the director told that when Varun heard the story, he was very keen to do this project. While developing the script, Sriram realized that age was a major deciding factor in the story. He also revealed that in some scenes, Arun Khetarpal, on whom the film is based, is shown as 19 years old. He said- ‘Gone are the times when Jitendra could dance around trees at the age of 40. The script needed a fresh face, and Agastya was 21 when he was cast.

He further said- ‘They needed an actor who would be committed to this project for the next two to three years. Simply put, this is the story of a boy becoming a man, and what Arun did in the last two hours of his life made him a hero. I wanted Agastya to convey innocence about his desire to serve and the outcome. I think this is reflected in Agastya’s eyes.
